Please report Spambots via PM · 11:07am
As a lot of you have probably noticed, we recently added a comment reporting system - a long time coming, for sure. Unfortunately we are having some internal problems with the new system that could take a little while to get resolved. Since one of the more urgent things we need reports on are spambots, and since a lot of people are (thankfully!) making use of the new comment reporting system, we need you to please continue manually PMing us spambot names and proof so that we can take care of them.
Sorry for the inconvenience, we will try to iron this out as quickly as possible.

Thanks Poultron, I've been spotting a lot more of those spambots around and been reporting them when I can. Glad to see you guys getting these things worked out.
On it, boss.
Sounds good enough.
To whom should we PM our Spambot reports?
Will do.
I have my rocket launcher loaded and ready to fire!
Oh, and I'll keep an eye out for these spam comments and report them, too.
I've been fortunate enough to avoid spambots thus far, but I will definitely let you know if I come across one.
Can, and will do!
Oh goody. I've been seeing more and more spambots popping up like a cancer. I'll let ya know if I see one.
Okie dokie. I've made my fair share of reports, so thanks for the update.
reported a spambot trying to sell me shoes just yesterday, ha
Yes sir ma'am sir!
Nuke 'em from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

Just PM them to me
Funny, I just reported (and 'watched') a spambot not too long ago.
Was this post for me, Poultron?
Is MetaKnight finally dead?
YES MASTER!
YOU HAVE THE FULL SUPPORT OF THE WOLF EMPIRE!
(If you want to join, watch me ^_^)
P.s. Love the new layout!
diu vivere in lupus imperium!

I saw one selling shoes too... Why on earth would they sell shoes of all things here?
Socks maybe, but these spammers are dumb (not as dumb as the people who fall for them).
Yay! You're popular enough to attract spammers
You got it, champ.
Hey, great blog post. I love this site.
If any of you are looking for tall singles in your area, then head on over to [t a l l s i n g l e s . c o m] just remove the spaces.
rly we have spambots here? like wtf?
Yes, oh great and mighty Poultron! So let it be writ, so let it be done!
"you top please continue manually PMing us spambot names "
I'm really having trouble parsing this. It could be my ESL-ness showing, but do you mean that you are having difficulties right now and want us to stop using the report system and to use a different, manual one? or do you want us to start using the report system right away?
I can't tell. D:
Okie dokie Doctah Jones!
>>427360 the p is extra, should be "to please continue"
Can do.
>>427386
Oh, thank you! I thought there might be an "s" missing in front of the "top", so that we should "stop" PMing names, but your explanation makes a lot more sense.
hm... would someone constantly commenting and using a very large picture as a sort of signature count? I've just been deleting the comments because like 8 of these things would take up the entire thing... and there were a lot of them...
>>427360
Woops, there's actually a typo in there. I'd like to say "stop using the report system!" but we really do want people to use it and appreciate that people are doing so. But since spambots are generally of more urgent importance and we are having issues on the backend, we'd like people to just report spam to us directly in PMs.
Basically, if you see spam, PM me the name of the user and a link to the post for now. I'll let you all know when we sort this out.
On a side note, we are going to try and at least filter out this specific kind of spam, since it seems to be all the same kind.
I freaking love my brain. Out of nowhere, "A wild fan fic idea appears!"
Seriously, a fan fic starring one or more spambots, that actually has a story to it and is well written? IT'S BRILLIANT!
>>427482
Aha, thank you for clearing that up.
>Use report button for users
>Report spambots via PM
Orders acknowledged.
>>427394 Keine problem Meine Freund
I already report spambots via PM.
I shall continue to do so.
Sounds good.
Oh, OK. I saw one, let me PM you.
Good luck!
I haven't seen all too many around, so that's good, at least. Though I recall this being the way it worked before the report system came into effect, so not much of a change there.

You have won all my internets! TAKE EM!
People who create spambot accounts deserve the worst death imaginable and then some
>>428351 Spambot.
Hint, hint
>>428403 They still need to be created by a human, though... At least I think they do. Maybe we need captcha's for registration.
>>428409
I believe we do have captchas for registration now
>>428421 So they must be at least created by humans. The problem is that they can make multiple accounts using one email if they have gmail because gmail doesn't recognize dots in the username. Somebody could easily make another account just by placing dots randomly in the email.
^^^ All the same to google.
The worst part about all of the spam, is they're not even trying to sell anything fun.
>>428429 Oh? [NSFW? I have no idea]
Hey great blog post. But would you like to watch PC on your TV?!
Jk. Anyone remember those from YouTube? Gah, I miss when you could actually make fun of spambots. They used to not try enough now they try way too hard.
Oh, I only encountered them once and deleted such comment. But that was quite a long time ago.
I will be sure to report them if I ever encounter them again.
Thanks for the hard work, guys! It's thanks to you that FimFiction rocks!
Quick question, What qualifies as a spambot? someone who posts the same thing over and over and over, or someone who just trolls?
>>428597
The ones that post the same thing over and over, the advertisements for websites.
>>428643
Thanks for explaining that.
CUTIE MARK CRUSADER SPAMBOT CATCHERS, YAY !

>>427124
Is that a good thing?
Well, that's going to be useful. I kept seeing spambots and trying to find a way to report them, and failing. Never considered using PMs, lol.
We will take good care of these tiny little fellers so you can hammer them away!
>>428213 Gladly.
Sir yes sir. I wil report any spambot i see, Sir.
>>427482 Yes, they always seem to be advertising Ed Hardy t-shirts for some reason...
>>432534
Irony is amazing
I've never been spammed. This is an injustice.
It'd be funny if a spambot spammed here.
>>434192 Actually, there used to be a spambot post just three comments above yours. Then it died, but not before ugugg93 commented on it >.^
>>434317 Heh. xP
>>427149 Spambot comment on a spambot post

>>426797
I'm an extreme idiot. What precisely is a spambot? Is it one of those idiots who goes around on stories and makes a comment about going to some stupid shopping site where you can waste your money on cheap plastic clothes made out of moldy cheeseburgers?
>>426762 nuke? That isn't enough, I'll just fire the orbital death laser I recently came in possession of.
>>435161
No, I assure you, I'm A_R3A1_P3R50N!
