Hello everyone!
I'll make this quick and simple, because I don't have a ton of time right this moment:
I am very pleased to announce the official, exact, guaranteed release date/time of the next chapter of Magic, and Mayhem, and... Murder? Oh my... as:
Tomorrow, Sept. 27 at 12 PM EST!
That's right, you heard it here first, folks! Although, I'd be extremely surprised if you'd heard it anywhere else first... and more than a little terrified.
Now, for a caveat: This will actually be the first half of what was originally intended to be a single chapter. However, when said chapter started to run somewhat... loooooooong... I decided to split it in two. So, this is what you're getting.
Chapter 17.1: Foil to the Sun.
And hey, I just gave you the title! Look at me just handing out spoilers left and right. Here's another one... be sure to read the author's note at the end of the chapter for a special surprise. Love you all, and I hope you enjoy the first half of the climactic finale to my little crossover project.

I really hate to disappoint a reader, but: A sequel, if it ever happens at all, will not be in the works for quite a while. I have a lot of other projects that I'm currently working on or am dying to start.
We'll just have to see, though.

385792 Hey don't blame me for being curious but I have stayed in this dimension long enough to know to never be to careful about the candy man. The Doctor and I have had to stop him to many times as it is seriously do you have any idea how hard it is to get taffy out of your time/interdimensional traveling machine it is one hell of a pain and don't get me started on the caramel he has some sick acid in that stuff. Anyway the Doctor and I just don't want another incident involving twilight and snakes SHE WAS SCARY AS HELL. Well I lost my train of thought about 30 seconds ago and this parasprite isn't going to capture itself.

And no, I wouldn't know, due to basicly opening up the dimensional barrier and just passing through. Can't imagine its fun though. 386108 Well lucky you then I wish it could have went that smoothly for me but that stupid taffy gums up the works. The Doctor says hi he said he met you or a version of you a while back he didn't go into much detail said something about spoilers. The Professor also says hi she says she would like to meet you in her future. Oh have you gone to a version of the Firefly dimension? It is awesome there I got to here about Malcoms past so much awesome passed that day that I had to go to an empty universe to properly calm down without causeing damage to anyone.

386268 Oh it has been forever since I visited there they had this really funny joke I wish I could remember it. It had something to do with a future teacher and a mop. Just to get the Professor back for the time I had to save the world from the daleks and she just conveniently had to travel to the MLP universe to help Dusk Shine with some studies (in all honesty I think she's got a thing for him.
) I am going to make your discription even more vague and mysteries that will drive her mad from wanting to know who you are.
386311 Excellent! Daily trolling quota met. Master Zelretch would be so proud if he was around. I've had to travel to the MLP dimension a few times myself, though those were the darker incarnations of it. And ugh, Daleks. Not quite as bad as fighting some of the upper tier Dead Apostle Ancestors, Master included, but still. . . Anyways, any interesting items/abilities/powers you picked up on your travels? And where you got them? I'm always looking for new things to learn, and its interesting to hear a fellow wanderer's tails.

386423 Ya I have collected a fair amount of skills in my travels for instance have you ever had an entire civilizations knowledge downloaded into your head. Ever since then I have been able to build really good inventions on the spot to get out of a tight pinch. I have also learned a lot about magic from many masters including Dresden, Twilight and Celestia (that was a fun week), I learned some Dragon magic at a vague universe a while back but it got destroyed in a huge civil war a couple years later. I suggest you go to a dark stone universe they have a couple of interesting potions that do wonders. I trained under Merlin for a while he had some interesting spells. OH also in the stargate universe I met the ancients and they taught me alot about acension that was awsome, I also got this cool all purpose ship that is great for long distance travel (The Doctor was super jealous for a while). Most of the time though I just go on my own natural abilities which for a human aren't alot. I pretty new to traveling only been goin' at it for 80 years.

Actually, I had it a slight bit worse than a couple civilizations. It had to do with a dangerous blood ritual to open a portal to the Akashic Records, and me interrupting it. It still went off, but it got tainted with the warlocks blood. I got sucked in and imperfectly brought to the physical location of the records. Then it started jamming immense loads of data into my head. Nearly died because of that, but it did enable me to utilize my dual Origin of Wander and Dimension to get the frak out of there. Still have heaps of info locked away in my brain come to think of it. Anyways, I've trained with the Masters of Ryuzanpaku, fought in an alternate Grail War, clashed with many an eldrich nightmare, ticked off more than one divine being, and quite a bit more besides. Only a hundred years in at that. Helps to be a little immortal. Oh yah, speaking of, if you ever need some help, mention my name to the Keeper of the Dimensional Hub, he owes me a few favors, and should be able to find something/one/where new to go

386632 Sounds like an eventful century I wish I had some of the experience you have but that will come in time. Anyway if I ever need help I will make sure to ask. Until then I will be traveling to a couple of other dimensions I have heard can give great knowledge and lots of fun. I cannot wait to meet the people at Eureka oh the looks on their faces will be awesome when I show them some magic. That reminds me I am going to have to learn more magic I am still pretty young in terms of immortals such yourself maybe some day when you become a master you can teach me the ways of the second true magic but until then I have much to learn and see.
386664 Hah! I've only been around for a hundred and nineteen years or so. Still only at the Apprentice level for the Second True Magic, I still have to rely on my Familial Magecraft and weaponry skills before I can do anything with it. It does help that a fragment of the Second True Magic, Dimensional Positoning and Transitioning, bonded with said Magecraft though. As for the teaching part, you'd need to access the Akashic Records first, and even then you could end up with one of the other five. The First True Magic, Denial of Nothingness, The Second, Operation of Parallel Dimensions, The Third, Materialization of the Soul, The Fourth. . . no ones exactly sure, or the Fifth. The Fifth has something to do with Time. . . Temporal Subjegation I think. If you do end up with the Second, seek out Kischure Zelretch, my Master. He's been around far longer than I, and is a true master of Kaleidescope, The Second True Magic. My immortality is a bit odd as well, but I haven't had time to do research.

Well I still have the teachings of Celestia and Twi with me and that knowledge is something that has helped me alot so far and will have to be enough until I find someone to apprentice under. Oh by the how did you become immortal? I became immortal by a strange temporal anomaly that made me a immortal and sent me to the universe where I had the information accidentally downloaded into my mind. The doctors thier said I was out for a month and shouldn't have survived but that obviously didn't happen so soon after I made my Time/dimension traveling maching and here I am now.
386780 It has to do with the Ritual, the Records, and my Origins. I can't go into the specifics, but my body is able to die still. My soul, however, can't, and it instantly seeks out the closest dimensional counterpart I have, takes over the body, and conforms it to my souls shape. Currently this is my third body. I don't obtain my counterparts memories though, and I try not to die to much. On the bright side though, the only way to kill me permanently is so convoluted and suicidal, its basically non-existent. I don't think its even possible to destroy my soul either.
386799 Well its a shame about your counterparts it sounds like you are a strong being and not one to anyone would like to piss off. Of course that is true for most immortals I mean we are immortal for a reason. Oh and be careful while it may be imposible to completley destroy a soul but it is possible for it to become tainted and rot that is something Dresden taught me and something I witnessed first hand it was not a pretty sight. So be careful about what types of magic you use they can heart you more than any other being probably ever could.
386814 Ohh I know that. Once you face your first few eldrich abominations, you develope countermeasures and contingencies for that sort of thing. Along with mental resistance to other said horrors. Helped when we we're dealing with the Black Grail that one time. You may want to start with some of the lesser creatures first, to build resistance, and in no time, you'll be having tea with Cthulu! Or Ponythulu. Depends on the dimension I suppose, but both are surprisingly friendly.
386838 thanks for the advice I will keep that in mind. I never thought Cthulu was one for tea I always thought he would be more into soda for some reason he always just struck me as a soda drinker well learn something new every day.
