I did some actual words-related work recently. No, it's not a new story. Sorry. I'm taking this slow to avoid breaking myself again.
Three and a half years ago, I wrote On a Moonless Night in a hurry for a fic-prompt-swap-thing. I meant to go back and clean it up a bit. I meant to do real cover art. I even solicited feedback from people. Well, I've finally actually done that.
The story's shape hasn't changed at all. If you didn't really care for the particular brand of absurdity (which I called stupidity years ago) you won't now. If you thought it was funny and worth reading, maybe a second look is order. Nothing super major has changed, but it's a bit improved. And hey, it's a thing I started and never finished and now it's finished. Completion is a good thing.
If you haven't read it before, well, now's the time.
I'm still working on the cover art--the words themselves have been ready to go for a week--but I didn't want to put this post off any longer.
Special thanks goes to Cloudy Skies for helping me when I was sure this entire words thing was a huge mistake and was this close to burning down everything. And thanks to Present Perfect for helping me with comments on this twice, even after it took almost 4 years to address his first ones. You guys are both awesome.
Maybe now that I've officially "done something" I'll be able to do some of those other things I still want to do. Thanks for reading.
Bravo! Every little bit counts.
Congratulations, you've now made more progress than I have in the last year.
Welcome back, we missed you.
Very glad to see you back around these parts!
You kept the title :3
Downloaded it onto my kindle -- will read it soon!
Always lovely to hear from you
Baby steps are better than no steps. Good luck keeping your steam up!
I'm just glad to hear you have things you -want- to do, man.

I want to do a particular story, but i have 0 confidence in my ability to do it. It's one that I couldn't do 4 years ago when I was still really writing. Canon has done a similar story by now, so I'm fighting the fact people with just yell ripoff. It's about the only story I have that I want to tell. Well, that and the continuing adventures of SL. But less than 100 people would end up bothering to read that.
