    Also, Commissions For Charity

So right now I’m offering vignettes (roughly 1000-2000 words) as commissions, but instead of paying me you make a donation to charity. Any charity. If you need suggestions, then:

    Charity: Center for Disaster Philanthropy

So okay. Originally I was going to raise money for something closer to home but the barn has secured a grant that makes me less worried about it, and I think my efforts would be better focused here.

    Next Month: Charity Time

So I'm thinking that next month I'd like to run a charity event, but this will be a little different from previous events and I'm trying to figure out how to make it work.

    Happy Hearts and Hooves

In other news, I'm going to be getting a charity thing up and running maybe next month, so that should be exciting. We'll see how it goes, though. The format will be a little different but hopefully it'll be a lot of fun for everyone.

    Here's To The New Year

So it hasn't been exactly the best year, really. While I've had a record amount of commissions, it's cut into personal writing time. There's also the whole "working with actual horses" thing, and the fact that, you know, that seems to be even more of a passion for me than writing is. Not that I'm planning to stop writing or anything.

Finally, Updating · 1:44pm May 29th, 2016

I am like way behind on basically life. First of all I apologize for not being entirely done with the stuff I said I would. Also some of you still haven't messaged me about charity rewards, but that in part is my own fault because I never ended up messaging anyone due to a variety of issues I'm still working through. But please do message me if you donated and haven't received anything yet and I'll add you to the list I have here and we can at least figure something out for you.
The good news is that I'm slowly getting myself back into writing and everything and catching up.I'm hopefully around 80% of the way through Hecate's Orphanage, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to finish writing it over the summer.
I still don't have a real title for the second set of stories, and the chronology for them is also kind of hard because they happen pretty much all at once. They also happen after the Chronicles take place, so that adds further problems.
But right now, the best reading order looks like it'll be:

Zecora's Pinata
Rhythm of the Dance
One Wish for Nothing
Thorn of the Rose
Hecate's Orphanage for Wayward Youth

Sometimes I think that Gjallarsong should also be made part of the series, just because, you know, it really gives a lot of background on Hecate and how precisely she ended up the way she is.
The series will tie up a lot of loose ends left from the Chronicles, and while it'll be a huge, obnoxious story, it'll also be written sort of as an ongoing adventure series with the different characters. We'll see a lot of old faces return, including a lot of old favorites, although a lot of it will follow Cadence and her friends as opposed to the trio.

A few little tidbits for those interested in what events are going to unfold:

Cadence chewed on her lip nervously, her horn glowing and quickly shifting the papers back in front of herself to study them intently as she walked along. The other thing gnawing at her mind was that this request apparently came from a demon, and they were being asked to find a subject who they had little information about, apart from a name...
“Rustproof. Escaped Heaven during a catastrophe, possible Class II augmentation, unknown status. Retrieve alive, or proof of death.”

The Swan Maiden bowed her head respectfully, and Sombra chuckled quietly before he said gently: “They say that power has a will of its own, and sometimes takes control. We may not mean to wield it as a weapon, and yet all the same...”
“It finds a way to bite.” Freya smiled slightly in agreement. “I like you, whatever you are, old jarl. I look forward to working with you."
“As for you two, lazy mutts, don't expect me to treat you half so kindly if you don't work on earning your keep!” Freya suddenly barked, and La Croix and Moonflower both panicked for a moment before the Valkyrie grinned wryly, shaking her head and remarking mildly: “Aye. This should be a fun journey indeed.”

Thorn frowned slightly, and then he wrote down a quick note on the clipboard before saying calmly: “Finish your personal business quickly. Necrophage, Muse, let's go and check our accommodations.”
Thorn began to walk forwards, cutting through the group like an icebreaker, before he paused and added without looking back, as Antares blanched: “Also, do not lie to me, Antares Mīrus. My report will look very unfavorably upon that behavior.”
Without looking back, Thorn and his Replicant companions strode quickly through the square towards the massive tree that housed the library, and Antares watched him go before Innocence slowly leaned over to her brother and whispered: “I think he's a robot.”

And that's all from not even the first quarter of the story.
L'aissez les bons temps roulez, as La Croix would say.

I still need to finish the 99 world saga...

3981024 You are not alone in that. I just can't take dark stories in more than small doses, and I've kinda been avoiding continuing reading because I just know something horrible is about to happen. :twilightblush:

Remind me again... rewards? Don't really remember much for rewards, besides elements in the charity story. :applejackunsure:

For some of the larger donations I said I would work something out with people as a thank you. There were also a few people who didn't submit ideas to me for chapters before the deadline, but donated before then, and I said I'd be happy to work things out with them and write, you know, a short or something else for them if they came forward with ideas. I also had some uh, "stretch goals" for lack of a better term, where I said I'd do some bonus things if I reached certain amounts of pledges, and since I both won and earned over a certain amount of money, I have to get those things done, too.

So hype for Hecate's Orphanage. Been waiting to read another super long story of yours.

Are you going to be doing a chapter a day updates when you start posting it up?

I'm among the people that still haven't finished your other stuff. I'm just about halfway through Starlit Knights I think.

Probably two chapters a day, yeah. I was thinking of posting the prologue a little ahead of time, but we'll see how that goes. It's definitely going to be another big one, though: definitely even longer than Glory Be.
