Anyway, thought I'd take this oppurtunity to express something that bothers me about ponyfics...
Guys', what the heck?
You've got a world set up with mysterious, benevolent rulers and the only stories that ever get written about them are 'It sucks to live forever' fics and 'Look, power corrupts' fics. Where's the deep philosophical stuff asking challenging questions about political philosophy in an interesting and entertaining way?
Please note: I am just as guilty of abusing such interesting characters as much as the next guy.
Hmmm, like more of a Dune approach to the royalty? Like Blueblood is no that bad but he is just a product of a elite cast that follows a stric set of rules? or maybe a priest like section of the goverment? always wondered what the ponies worship and how Celestia fits in all of this...
