"Galaxy Magical Girl" by hello-mango
Not directly related, but sue me.

Hey, guys. When's the last time I posted something on this blog?

I'm starting up a new website, at which I'll be doing my blogging schtick, but where I will also be posting free fiction. I am going to start serializing a novel in the very near future called Jake and the Dynamo. If you like the kind of goofy humor I usually employed here when I was blogging ponies on a regular basis, you'll like Jake and the Dynamo. It's not ponies per se, though I do make shameless pony references, but it's got tons of action, slapstick, bickering teenagers, and magical girls.

Lots and lots of magical girls.

My writers' group likes it, and one guy keeps rereading it because he likes it. I won't tell you when exactly it's starting up, because my cover artist might read this and I don't want to pressure him. But it will be soon.

In the meanwhile, at my brand new site, I have a short story up, free to read: "Smooth Criminal: From the Casefiles of the Ragamuffin." It's set in the same universe as my upcomig Rag & Muffin, which yes I am working on, except I've been cranking out chapters of Jake and the Dynamo.

And some of you who know what kind of fiction I'm known for might ask, "Is this going to be a story that seems real upbeat and happy for twenty chapters until it turns out everything's a lie and then the heroine slits her wrists over her daddy issues?" The answer, I can confidently say, is no, no way, not this time, definitely not. Except maybe yes. But no.

So I hope that reassures you.
