    Happy Holidays!

Whatever you're celebrating, and even if you're not celebrating anything, I hope you have a great day today.

Me? I'm going to spend the day either sleeping, or playing Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft Classic; I've got a guild to run now, after all, and I need to devote as much time as I can to keeping it going.

    Stay awesome.

    Hey Ho

First of all, today marks 11 years to the day since I joined Fimfiction. Go me, I guess?

Secondly, I'm still around, though I've been pretty busy as of late.

    Are you at Griffish Isles?

If so, then I hope you're having fun! For those of you who don't know what that is, here's their website.

I'm not at the convention myself, since I couldn't afford it this year, but I did take out an advert in the con book for my horse words. If you're here as a result of said ad, please let me know!

That's all for now, remember to stay awesome!

    In Case You've Missed It

I recently published a new story, the first one I've written for nearly two years. My Muse decided to pay me a visit, meaning I was able to whip this together; here's hoping said Muse sticks around for a while!

Q&A Round Twenty - The Answers! · 12:42pm Dec 13th, 2015

Getting around to answering these took me longer than expected, no thanks to intermittent Internet failures and the odd power cut.

Anyway, are you ready to continue?

Of course you are.

Very well, let us begin!

(As always, questions are answered in the order in which they were received.)

Hoops

I only have one :3

1. Quick, your test is tomorrow and you haven't studied, what do you do?

1) Panic.
2) Attempt to throw a sickie.
3) Fail.
4) Go to the test.
5) Blindly answer every question I can and hope that some of my answers are right.
6) Hand in test.
7) Go home and play Fallout 4.
8) Worry about the results when they eventually turn up a few months later.

First five are for the author with the skillz.

1. Hey G how are ya?

I'm all right, I guess, but I could be better. Being unemployed kinda sucks, y'know?

2. Having a great holiday season so far?

I don't really care much for Christmas these days, to be honest. But as far as seasons go, this one is all right... barring the occasional freak storm that floods the nearby town, that is.

3.If you woke up finding a guy in a red suite fiddling with your christmas tree you'd call the cops to right? Right!? I'm not cray-cray.

I would call the police, yes... after I used my legal right to kick seven shades of shit out of the intruder.

Then again, we don't have a Christmas tree in our house.

4.What was your favorite show to watch when growing up?

I had many favourite shows as a kid: Kenan and Kel, Sabrina the Teenage Witch (don't judge me), Ed, Edd and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, Wacky Races... I could continue, but we'd be here for a while.

5.You have been on this site sharing your creativity for about three years now. Did you think you'd be still with this fandom and writing for it this long and hopefully longer still?

I knew I'd stick with the fandom for as long as it lasted, but as for writing... no, I didn't think I would make it this far. When I submitted my very first story, I was half expecting it to be torn apart by the readers and thus convince me that I wasn't cut out for writing.

I'm so glad now that this was not the case, and that people actually liked what I had written — even if it was poorly formatted, self-insert romantic twaddle. I wrote many sequels, branched out into other stories, and here we are now three years later.

Put simply, the support I receive is what keeps me doing this... even if I don't publish stuff as much as I used to. Seriously, To Friend Is Human when it was first published, got an update at least once a day.

Last five for the characters.

1.Princess Celestia can you possibly make mornings later into the afternoon or create some kind of daylights saving times?

Celestia: Hell, no. I have to get up at the crack of dawn to raise the sun, so you'd better believe that you should get up with it. If you don't like it, then deal with it.
Luna: Sister, that was a bit harsh.
Celestia: I need coffee!

2.Princess Luna I'm smitten with your beauty and if your ever in Puerto Rico you look me up k?

Luna: We art humbled by thine words, and wouldst be pleased to 'look thou up.' But, pray tell, where is this land of 'Puerto Rico' that you speak of? We can't find any trace of it in the Royal Archives.

3.Ace no offense man I can tell you are a super genius and would go to any lengths for your loved ones and friends but your smarts kinda scare the crap outta me. Is this because of a irrational fear of stupid guys afraid of something they don't understand or am I just being silly? Again no offense.

Ace: You're being silly. I understand that I've gone to some extremes in the defence of my friends and family, but it was doing that which caused Pinkie to leave me in the first place. I've moved on a lot since then, and I've come to the conclusion that I don't need robots to do my bidding. I am more than capable of defending my friends and family myself.

4.Hey Geo has anypony try hitting on your wife yet?

(Geo and Flash Sentry are repeatedly punching each other in the face while Twilight watches.)
Twilight: (sighs) What do you think?

5.Princess Cadence what kinda cute pet names do you call your husband?

Cadence: I generally just call him 'Shiny.'
Shining Armour: Come on, Cady, you know there's more to it than that.
(Cadence raises an eyebrow at him.)
Cadence: Oh? So you'd like me to tell everypony that I also called you 'Shining the Barbarian' during our last roleplay session? Or maybe when I called you 'Pimp Lord?' And what about that time when you asked me to call you 'Daddy?' That was awkward, let me tell you that.
(Shining Armour's face turns bright red.)
Shining Armour: I... er, well, I... (He runs out of the room.)

HB_DS2013

1. Geo (author), is Season 5 canon in the Geoverse?

It will be once I get around to writing it.

2. Cadence, do you take after Celestia or are you more like Luna?

Cadence: A bit of both, I'd reckon. I have Celestia's calm demeanour, but I also have Luna's impulse reaction. So I tend to quickly rush in and sort things out peacefully.
Shining Armour: That doesn't make sense.
Cadence: Oh, shush, 'Pimp Lord.'

3. Spike, would you rather be in a post-apocalyptic wasteland or in RD's nightmare mixed with the sock puppet dimension?

(Spike thinks for a moment.)
Spike: Got anything I can use to defend myself against Deathclaws?

4. Cadence, if you had to choose between Twilight and Shining's cooking, which one would you pick?

Cadence: Shiny's, because there's less mess to clean up... and no eldritch horrors to banish.
Twilight: Hey!

5. Applejack, is it true that you have a hat dispenser?

(Applejack looks perplexed, while John sneaks off into the barn.)
Applejack: Now why in tarnation would I—
(A zapping noise comes from the barn, at which Applejack's eyes widen.)
Applejack: SPAH SAPPIN' MAH DISPENSER! (Pause.) Dangit, John!

6. Apple Bloom, why do you have a closet full of bows?

Apple Bloom: D'ya seriously expect me ta wear the same bow every day? You humans change yer clothes every day, so why can't we?

7. Cheerilee, how long did it take for you to earn your teaching credits?

Cheerilee: It took about five years of hard work and dedication... not to mention the fact that I can do this job with my eyes closes and my forelegs tied behind my back.
Alternate Geo: Didn't we try that once?
(Cheerilee blushes and takes a swing at him.)

8. Fluttershy, are your wrestling moves a family thing or did you learn it from somepony?

Fluttershy: Um, I learned them from watching my parents as a filly.
Haywick: Your parents were wrestlers? Hmm, I never knew that.
(Fluttershy shakes her head.)
Haywick: So they wrestled with each other simply for the— (Pause.) No, wait, I get it now. (He shudders.)

9. Princess Celestia, what does breakfast cake look like and can I get the recipe?

Celestia: It looks like heaven, and no you can't.
(She sticks her tongue out at you and goes back to eating.)

10. Spike, what other gems have you tried out?

Spike: I've tried Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl. I also tried Steven... but it turns out that's not a real gem.

Author Geo says: I have never watched Steven Universe.

1. what gives you inspiration to write your stories?

A lot of things do. Sometimes it's music, sometimes it's boredom — and sometimes it's the people I know. For example, I got the inspiration to write Twilight Sparkle Waits For A Train after spending far too long waiting on my bus to work one day.

I decided to use a train in place of a bus because I've never seen buses in the show. Sure, there are taxi carriages, but a train was the better thing to use because they're often late as well (something us Brits are all too familiar with, am I right?).

2. How did you become a Brony?

A couple of my friends watched it, and I took the piss out of them for it. They told me not to knock it unti I'd tried it, so I decided to watch the first two episodes of Season One. Several hours later, I had finished all of Season Two and come to the conclusion that ponies were great.

You know, that old story.

3. Why do you write stories.?

I write because it gives me an excuse to use my over-active imagination for something. I write because it makes me feel good to know that people find entertainment in what I've created. I write because it means I am introduced to so many wonderful people.

I write because I can.

That's all for this round, folks. I hope my answers are to your liking. If not, tough. :trollestia:

The next Q&A will take place sometime in the New Year — so until then, stay awesome.
