According to a tweet from JDL, no. It's looking to be either a year, or close to a year, between seasons. Besides the usual production woes, I'd imagine that it's to help run the hype train for the movie in 2017.

I would be more concerned about the chemistry. Alarmingly, it appears that friendship (especially that between Dash, Pinkie, and Rarity as depicted here) involves copious amounts of double-bonded benzene... Somepony should notify the Equestrian Environmental Protection Agency!
