Season Eight Episode Reviews: Molt Down

This week is a Spike episode? What a re-”molt”-ing development this is!

Let's look at “Molt Down,” the episode that will surely be perfectly normal and have no long-lasting repercussions on a character's appearance.

Season Eight Episode Reviews: Break Up Break Down

I dread going into this week's episode. For today, we discuss matters of the heart. Romance, love, heartbreak, and all that rot. Which means we run right into the most loathsome of all fandom constructs, the kind of thing that destroys friendships and leaves the most brilliant of minds curled up helplessly in a corner, foaming from the mouth:

    SHIPPING.

Another day, another terrorist attack · 4:06am Nov 14th, 2015

In case you've missed it, a series of terrorist attacks have killed over 150 people in Paris, France. We don't know all the facts about why this was done, but I can guarantee that it will be over bullshit. If it's not some Muslim asshole murdering people over their religion, it's some Christian asshole murdering people over their religion. And that's assuming it's not just some bigot who wanted to kill people because they don't like how they look or where they come from. Or it's not just a bunch of fucking psychopaths who want to feel powerful in their final moments by terrifying and murdering people.

It never ends. It doesn't matter if the borders are open or closed. It doesn't matter whether or not you practice racial or religious profiling. No matter how many people you arm, it won't stop. No matter what precautions you think you've taken, it will never end. People will continue to perpetrate acts of murder against people who they have never seen, who have done nothing to them, and yet must die because of who they are and where they are.

And we will keep honoring them. The media will keep giving them power by reminding us to be scared. Politicians will weep pretend tears before declaring how brave and wonderful they are, and using these attacks to fuel their own campaigns that will breed even worse terrorists. Those behind these acts will beat their chests and proclaim how strong they are, when all they have done is murdered innocent people that just wanted to have a fun night.

I am shaking, angry, and frustrated. I once thought humanity was a species that could be great, but when I see things like this happen, I remember that we are freakish monsters that deserve to be destroyed. I have no thoughts of happiness or joy to give. I have nothing but burning contempt for this sick world we have created.

I'm sorry. I'll take my leave. I really hope tomorrow's episode is at least enjoyable, because fuck knows the world has seen enough shit tonight.

If that attack was from Muslim or Christian fanatic, then this is why I don't believe in God. I'd rather live in a world where people are good without any monolithic religions than a world where people become deluded freaks under the sway of said religion.

The only way to stop Radical Islam - because that's the problem, not ISIS per se, ISIS is just the latest iteration of the larger problem - is a full-on massive action in the Middle East by multiple countries.

I actually find myself really hoping that France activates Article 5 of NATO.

It was "Muslims", probably ISIS-related though not necessarily directly sent by ISIS or acting under ISIS orders. It also wasn't one guy, but several working in concert across Paris. Though CNN and others are going on about how this attack required a lot of planning to carry out. In reality it didn't; just some guys with bombs and guns, and watches to time the attack. That's all.

3541170 Is it wrong to wish any kind of death to the Middle East for all the unreasonable and pointless death and destruction their beliefs brought to people in and out of their countries?

The only way to stop Radical Islam - because that's the problem, not ISIS per se, ISIS is just the latest iteration of the larger problem - is a full-on massive action in the Middle East by multiple countries.

Which will in turn inspire another ISIS, followed by another ISIS, and then another, and another...

It never ends. Nothing ever fucking ends.

It's not the middle-eastern people, or those of muslim belief that are the problem, but the extremists. And those extremists, can come from anywhere in the world and be of any religion. They don't just come from the Middle-East, and also, (totally unrelated, sorry), not all middle-easterns are muslim. If your gonna wish for the death of something, hope for the end of radical religion and people taking their beliefs to far as to hurt others, because that's where the problem starts.

No it never ends, not really, though if it ends up being ISIS it really might end up setting off something that gets ISIS blown off the map. I wonder just how many people that would really piss off, as it seems ISIS has made it a point to make an enemy out of every single person on the planet who is not ISIS. But yes, the cycle of violence will pick up again, either there or somewhere else.

But some good shit coming down too, and I think, on the whole, more good than bad in the overall scheme of things. It's just hard to remember that at times like these.

If there's one thing I've learned about humanity, is that we make rather marvelous hypocrites.

Best way to handle this situation is to mourn, deal with the specific people who were involved with the attack, then move on. Overreacting is not the answer. From a society/government standpoint that is. Horrible for the people directly involved, but compared to all the other causes of death each year, terrorism is teeny-tiny.

3541189 3541314
That is the way of Classic Islam.
All who are not part of it, are against it.
Those who are against it, are not human and thus must die.
( and since they are not human, it's not a crime! funny that... )

Islam has always been that way on a fundamental level.

Join us or die. That was the mantra of their prophet centuries ago.
Not much has changed.

3541540
I'll say this for Mohammed, he was working in an incredibly hostile environment for his people. And he actually accomplished a great deal through diplomacy as much as military might. It's not hard to see why his religion might have been more martial than others, but honestly, looking at history, modern extremist Islam like ISIS is no more similar to the Prophet's vision as modern militant Christians really hold to the views of Jesus of Nazareth. And if you look at Judaism, it's pretty crazy for a good portion of its history in its old dogma.

Sadly, while this wont go away. (The religion behind the mentality this is okay to do.) Eventually, they are going to push the wrong target, hit the wrong place, and when they do. Well, someone is going to get tired of everything, and simply turn the middle east into a giant wasteland to 'stop the terrorist threat once and for all.'

Sadly, here the french people have no reason to be the targets here, given the retaliation, just being the only people that were trying to incorporate the many refugee's from the east.

I'm sorry, but I hope someone does remove the middle east via nuclear bombardment, because they've been fighting for thousands of years. And we know nothing is going to prevent them from doing so in the next few hundred years to everyone else as well beyond themselves. Time and time again, these people are showing they aren't even rabid animals, they are a scourge.

3541189 3541373
Untrue. Neither the Germans nor the Japanese have done anything in particular in seventy years. That's the thing; we need what amounts to a Denazification problem in the Middle East.

3541182
Death is more the unpleasant side-effect of what I want. The goal isn't to kill people, though that will happen. The goal is to actually change the area, do what we did in Germany and Japan in 1945, which was an active effort to end German and Japanese militarism and nationalism, of which Hitler and the Nazis and Tojo and so on were seen as merely a symptom, not the underlying problem.

After all, Japan by the 1940s had reached a point where it was willing to perform suicide bombs, or use civilians as human shields. The ideology is comparable.

The thing is that change on the scale is only possible when you have achieved complete military control over the area.

Deserves to be destroyed? Just like my sister and her two little kids who've done nothing wrong, who she works hard to raise by herself, deserve to be destroyed? Are you saying they need to die?!

The world's a horrible place to live in. It's been that way long before humans came into the picture. I don't fault you for being depressed and feeling hopeless. But don't go saying things that shit on the innocents that still live in this world!

3541766

I'm sorry. I was just full of piss and anger yesterday. I don't want anyone to die. I just wish the killing would stop.

3541773 Don't we all, my friend, don't we all :fluttercry:.

3541189 To quote a recent game "War, war never changes"

I once thought humanity was a species that could be great,

That's the problem, as a species we are capable of great and terrible things in equal measure. No matter how much greatness we accomplish as a species there will always be those out there who do terrible things.

3541728 That makes you better than them how? Glassing a region just to "solve a problem" that's great! How about Russia next? What about North Korea? China? Hey, Australia is looking a bit unhappy with you maybe you should nuke them too?

Where does it end? When you and only you are left?

I mean the middle east has always been a powder keg... But don't go pretending that the "civilized" world is much better. They didn't start world war 1 or 2 or countless other wars staring Christianity. The less said of Christianity's behavior during the crusades the better.

But we've learned to sometimes do things a different way, we've learned to be better... kind of.

I'm not saying holding hands and singing hippy songs is the answer. But wiping out an entire region just because they're "problematic" is not only reprehensible but a slippery slope that will only lead to the end of the world.

Christianity has caused horrible pain to the world. It has created the crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, and also Pacific Garden Mission. Christians are somewhat responsible for the creation of the modern orphanage, and have fundraisers and bake sales and try to help people. I don't know much about Islam, but I know the Qu'ran says to feed the poor and needy, and speaks against pride and selfishness.
Life sucks. But not the whole thing. These things have created horrible travesties, but they've also done good. On day's like today, it's important to remember that.

3541182 I'm sorry you feel that way. Is there anything I can do to help?

3543185 No, thanks. I just take it personally because I once was a part of Mormonism practices myself (the good branch of monotheistic religions, I'm sorry to say), but the thought of God (a.k.a Allah in the Middle East) putting mankind onto Earth to hurt, discriminate, or kill OR using him as an excuse to hurt, discriminate, or kill people made me lose most of my faith in those religions.

Also, I'm sick of hearing how ISIS, religious extremists, and delusional fanatics (all of them the new epitome of the dreaded "R" word) are making this world go straight to Hell. Makes me wonder if there is a point to their actions and why they haven't chosen something more humane.

update: actually turns out this is just another shity fake false flag attack hoax....

and another update , here's another great video of some journalist in france being interviewed about that event who actually explains the mass orchestration and agenda of the power structures of the world that staged this false flag attack , who it's staged by and why , probably something you would want to be more informed of to no longer fall into their trap of thinking it's radicals of the muslim or christian religions that are perpetrating these events that we should hate when im pretty sure the globalists have their own religion that they abide by that's separate from any known conventional religion if it isn't simply a monetary religion that they believe in which convinces them to stage these kinds of events for their agenda.......

and for once it seems the attack wasn't completely fake.....

although it's still a huge false flag.....

Couldn't have put it better myself .
