Hi everyone!
By now, you'll all have realised I was in on that little project where I was paired with the most excellent Obselesence: both of us wrote stories and uploaded each other's to see what would happen.
First of all, the reason I joined in on this was not because I wanted to trick people. The reason? I was curious! I wanted to see if people could spot my writing style; if people would react differently to a story which was SAD rather than SHIPPING and so on. I found the results pretty interesting.
I loved Obselesence's story, didn't you? There was something so hard to define - a melancholy feeling that I've never been able to capture in my own writing. My stories are always WHAM BANG BIG EMOTIONS kinda deals, but Obselesence is the master of something I struggle to achieve myself - subtlety, Also, his Steven Magnet was amazingly well written.
I hope everyone enjoyed both of our stories: Obselesence's Into the Everfree and my own Fluttershy's Infernal Adventure. If you missed one, jump in and read it RIGHT NOW!
Also, the last part of Much Ahoof is about a week away. Sorry to keep you all waiting!

I think I'm the only person who missed the entire thing, stories and all.
There is an odd lack of comments... I expected more.
274985 Nope.
Thanks for joining in, was great having you on board!

this is what; the 8th blog post on this or something...
I enjoyed this experiment quite a bit. I think it made its point about people liking stories because they are written by a popular author, at least in my mind. For instance, if Obselesence had posted Into The Everfree himself, I don't even think I would have read it. It has a Sad tag, and I very rarely read sad stories; I simply dislike feeling sad because of a story, but I'll give it a chance if I enjoy the author. But, since it was posted by you, I gave it a chance, and ended up enjoying it quite a bit. I figured it was just you trying out something new, but I never could have expected that it was by a completely different author. And of course, I didn't even read Fluttershy's Infernal Adventure until the whole LOEG thing was revealed, because I had never even heard of Obselesence. It's definitely interesting to see which stories became popular, and which didn't.
Oh, and I can't wait for the finale of Much Ahoof

It's not just you two; I'm not sure if I should feel disappointed that I missed it or not-sad that I'm not the only one.
I knew something was up when I saw the sad tag. Clever experiment indeed...
This was a very well put together experiment, too bad all of the stories involved are in my RILL (read it later list) with about another 130+ stories...
Gah! Damn! Spoiler!
