Alrighty then, I'm back everypony. I'm super sorry that it took me so long to recover from my surgery properly. I'm not quite there yet, but am on my way to being better. There was a minor snag with the operation itself, and my gallbladder ended up being significantly larger and more infected than they realized going in. Long story short, they had to poke two more holes in me to successfully get it out, which significantly increased my recovery time. Hopefully I'll be back on par and able to produce more of the story for you guys and gals. I know that's what you're really interested in. *winks*
Speaking of, Chapter Eleven is done! And it's my longest chapter yet! Well, actually it's been done for about a week and I'm partially into Chapter Twelve. I just couldn't get online (or sit up all that effectively) to let anypony know. I'm sorry. Good news is however that I have started greatly expanding the arcs. It will be significantly longer than anticipated. To be fair to all of my readers, and I know I've said this a few times unofficially, I'll be asking for a vote when I finish chapter twenty or so. It'll be on if you guys want me to start posting right away or wait until the whole story is done. That was my original estimate of when it was going to be completed, so I figured that was the most fair point in which to ask. That and it's a nice even, well rounded number which makes my mild CDO coo in happiness.

As much as it pains me to say that anything is more important than a good story, the recovery of the author writing said story is most definitely one of those things. May both your recovery as well as your writing continue smoothly.

Not just so that you can finish this story, but so that you write many more!
Why is everyone so concerned that you are spending too much time writing and not enough time recovering? I trust you know where your limits are in terms of how in shape enough you are to write*. Nevertheless, get better and keep writing.
In terms of when to start posting chapters, I might have to object to chapter 20. by the sound of it, you're going to be making a lot more chapters than my original intentions (which was approximately 25 chapters) then you may have to increase your writing rate to post all chapters on time. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but there's a stress factor involved, which could lead to poor quality writing and lack of happiness on your end. How about chapter 24? That's divisible by like...1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12! So many factors

>>268577 Actually, no. Screw that idea; wait until the whole story is finished! Here's the biggest reason why: when you post chapters, you dedicate yourself to keeping that story as is. No more edits or major/minor changes. It's concrete! There have been moments in other stories I know of where the author posts a chapter in the middle of writing the rest of the story, and while writing he realizes that it would've been better to change something around in the first chapter. To post chapters while writing the rest of the story requires a lot of thinking ahead, and with writing, that's tough to do. So my vote is to
...wait till the end!

I haven't given a huge amount of thought to what to write after this story is done. I do want to finish the vignettes, even if they're mainly for my own personal enjoyment. Wait, that sounded perverted, considering what a lot of them contain....

You're also the first to NOT jump on it being released right away. Interesting. I agree with you that I really don't want stress of releasing on time to get in the way of quality. I might have to start releasing them only once a week instead if everypony votes to start when I hit twenty. That I can safely keep up with. 
The considerable head start will help too.

You don't need to worry about edits for plot holes, though. The entire story is already planned out. Well, the core story, anyway. The things I keep expanding on are the bonus parts.
