Can't access site on laptop...

Ok, this is a weird issue. My Toshiba laptop using Windows 8.1 with IE as browser has suddenly found itself unable to connect with Fimfiction. I cleared the cache of EVERYTHING... still didn't work. It can connect to every website I've tried except Fimfiction.

Right now, I'm using my old laptop with Vista and Firefox and it's connecting fine, obviously!

Does anyone have an idea what on earth my other laptop's problem could be?

I downloaded Firefox after trying everything else, and voilla! The site opened right up!

Stupid IE...

It always surprises me how many people still use IE when so many better free browsers are available. Inertia, I guess.

3288409 Eh, the laptop came with it. Windows 8. I was too nervous to add many programs to it, given its reputation.

Also, need Explorer to access work's intranet. It's incompatible with Firefox because of security coding and all that rigmarole.
