In case you're wondering why this blog has been dead, it's because timezones. Whenever things go wrong, just blame timezones. Right then, let's get to it, and on with the news!

On the off chance you live under a rock, you might not have noticed that I wrote a thing. Taking into consideration my normal writing ethic, you're probably wondering, "Chromosome, where the hell did all these damn words come from?" Eh... I don't really know. All I can remember was having a bit too much to drink, thinking of something nuts, and then writing. Next morning, there were words on my computer. Needless to say, I posted it, and it was madness. Oh... it was madness.

Diving into another topic, let's talk 'bout White Box again, because you guys are completely crazy. Of all the things I've seen produced from this little piece of literature, this project is up there. Musings of Nohbody XIIIth is a tumblr that was recently started up partially to catalogue the progress of a new project: a White Box animatic. Inspiring stuff, ladies and gents.

Note that this is only the rough draft. I for one, though, can't wait to see this completed.

Well, that's that, and now if you'll excuse me, I have more stories to write. Disregard any bizzarity. All should return to normal in a week or so once I'm back home.

Wow. Not a reading of White Box, but an actual animation? You sir, must feel slightly more awesome right now.

It must feel very cool to have written a story that inspires people so much that they go and make something like that animatic. I bet it's gonna be awesome once it's done!

... That gif, on the other hand, is legitimately the stuff of nightmares. H.P Lovecraft has nothing on that gif.

Huh, didn't expect you to make a blog about it just yet. Then again, its been a month since I started, so I dunno. Anyway, aside from crap mic recording, and a rather bad Twilight voice (I just can't get those high tones) I need some feedback on the pacing. So go rip it apart!

Tell the person who did that to do this one too!

If you could get an actual girl to voice Twilight, that would do wonders for the story. I know I wasn't supposed to be laughing when she spoke :rainbowlaugh:

Failing that, I'd say don't change your tone. Since you're narrating all of the actions and internal thoughts, it's only fair that you keep the narration style with the other characters voices. It may sound a little strange, but changing your voice to a pitch you can't match doesn't work at all. The same applies to voicing the guards and other characters as well, because it just breaks the narration style.

    Hope that helps!

:rainbowlaugh: That's certainly how these things start.

In any case it's a brilliant animation, and the narration is done wonderfully. I saw a reading of White Box a while ago which, while well done, was very unlike how I imagined the intonations and whatnot. You, on the other hand, preform his character exactly the way I imagined it; quiet, monotone, a tiny bit of both annoyance and confusion.

I look forward to seeing how it looks/sounds in further drafts!

There exists a full reading I did, though its a few weeks old now compared to the modifications I've been making. For now I'm just putting up the separate acts to get things rolling.
