So the idea behind posting this mess was originally to cleanse my palette: clear out all the old unfinished junk, and set out to new, greener pastures with new, better ideas for stories that I could write, now that I have the time and inclination to do so.
What actually happened was that I ended up looking at a bunch of my old drafts and thinking, hey, I actually quite like this, this and this (but not that) so let's tear these pages out and finish them! Funny how that works. And I Am the Night is just the first of such projects. No prizes for guessing what's next.
Now, to the main point of this post: where would I, in these latter days of pony, find a group to which I could submit rough, in-progress, unfinished, in-need-of-polish stories and get quality, in-depth prereading/reviews/editing/feedback? I imagine it's somewhere on FIMFiction, but yeah, the last time I did this it was in the Training Grounds thread on /fic/, so I really have no idea. Help is much appreciated.
Well I may not be a group, but I have nothing but time and am willing to try if you'll let me. I hate admitting it to myself but, I'm probably a much better editor and critic than I am a writer.
Some of the old /fic/ crowd are still around and still great choices for reviewing: presentperfect and pascoite are two who I'd be quick to turn to, personally. And as far as groups go, I know that Looking For Editors does decent traffic. The Writeoff Association is great for getting reviews, too... but with the obvious caveat that it be for stuff from the Writeoffs, so that's probably not what you're looking for.
I'd be happy to help myself, though I'll warn you that I've got too much on my plate as-is, and am prone to unconscionable slowness. Still, if that's not a deal-breaker for you, I'd be more than willing to help!

Yeah, it would be nice to be part of a group like this. I just sent you a mail message, which I guess might help you to judge whether you would even want me in this kind of group with you.
