You are a wonderful person, and we all love you. Just remember that.

Sometimes things don't go the way you want. Sometimes other people can unintentionally get hurt. These things are part of life, and it's okay. The important thing is just to try to have compassion when and where you can, and to do your best to live up to your ideals.

People here respect and appreciate you for who you are, and for who you try to be. Everything will be fine. You're a great person, and a great author, and I hope you feel better tomorrow.

It'll be okay. You get yourself some rest.

D:
Get some sleep and listen to some good tunes. (Not necessarily in that order.) Cookies optional, but recommended.

Get better soon! Hope Luna's watching your dreams tonight.

No clue what this is about (sorry!) but much love and virtual manly hugs for whatever you're going through.

Am typing this through an allergy haze. Forgive typos.

You are wonderful. Your words are wonderful. You make many people—me included—very happy. Try to remember that, if you can. In the meantime, hugs, affection, and sympathy. If you need me, just call on me. Anytime.

All the above.

I don't know what this is about, but I hope you're okay. Like others have suggested, try to get some rest and listen to super duper loud stress relieving rock music or something equally soothing. Hope you feel better soon.

I don't know what you're going through, but you've always been awesome in my book. I'm pretty sure you'll remain that way.

I don't think any of us plan to start or promote drama, more wanting to make sure all the hurt parties get hugs and comfort so we can work it all out.

It doesn't take a genius to see you've been having a rough year. Times like these, there always comes that last straw that breaks the proverbial camel's back, and it all seems like too much to bear. But hang in there, and it passes eventually.

Confession time. I sometimes read your old blog, and find I can draw courage from it, because here's a man who went through some pretty strange and terrible times, and pulled through in the end. You've done it before, and will do it again.

Just remember, we're all pulling for you.

I'd like to echo what everypony else is saying: You're fucking awesome, and I believe in your ability to get through and conquer what ever it is you're going through. roundstable.com/forums/images/smilies/milkshakes.gif

*hugs*

I hope you feel better soon! You're an amazing author and sometimes people or opinions or situations just get the better of us. It's best just to take a step back and unwind from it all. That being said, I hope everything works out for you.

This too shall pass.
May it do so quickly.

Okay, now that I'm not typing on a phone keyboard:

Horizon, you're a credit to this site, fandom, and carbon-based life in general. There aren't many people that write as well as you, and even fewer that devote the time and energy to helping and lifting others up like you do. If the day comes that you need anything, be that today, next week, or in a decade when the last FIM greybeards are arguing over the quintessential {insert OTP} shipfic), you have lots of people to turn to. Myself included.
Take care!

Now that I'm on the far side of eighteen straight hours of sleep (the con crud from earlier this week returned, and I decided it was best fought from a horizontal position), I just wanted to say thank you all. I really appreciate all the eloquent support on this thread, but I appreciate almost as much everyone who simply took a few moments to speak up, and remind me that I'm not alone here.

The worst of the Writeoff drama has passed and I'm moving forward, so I'll be nuking this post soon, but you all did make a difference and I wanted to acknowledge that.

But my comment is beautiful and has seventeen upvotes!

Awww, thank you! Sometimes I do things like that myself, but I didn't this time. But now I get a copy anyway! I do genuinely appreciate the thought/work.

...now back to giving horizon positive thoughts instead of me complaining about him deleting my wonderful comments.

3087303
I'd say "bam, eighteen!" but the best I could do is "would it help if I make it sixteen?" :twilightoops: :rainbowkiss:

3087361
if it makes you feel any better, my secret plan was to mark the post "NSFW" so it vanished from the site without me having to lose all the comments. Although that appears to be impossible, so ... :applejackunsure:

You could just not delete it. It can serve as a reminder that you're a human being, not a Word-God. Or, well, okay, maybe a changeling, or a draconic being, or something... anyway, you get my point.

Maybe more importantly, it'd be something you could at least look back at and remember if you find yourself feeling down because of future drama. Because the comments on this blog post were never really going to be anything other than concentrated good thoughts for you, and concentrated good thoughts can be handy to keep around sometimes.

Why are we whispering?

No problem!

3087372
Maybe you could just rename it "Do not read!" so nopony looking through your old blogs reads it! Or maybe "Hard Day's Night", an' they would think it was 'bout the Beatles?

Why are we whispering?

Electron shortage. Oh, wait ... just got a fresh shipment. That's better.

3087381
I should name the blog something that nopony would ever read, or would ever want to read. Like "Rarity's Diary."

It's the most boring thing in the world.

Boooooooooorrring.

Snoozeville.

Glad you're feeling better. :) A WriteOff immediately after con? That's rough. I'm not surprised you slept for 18 hours.

(Or you could rewrite the blog post like U+202E. People will definitely not want to take the time to read through that :rainbowlaugh:)

3087405

I already read that, though. It was pretty boring.

Jan. 13th:
7 am: Woke up feeling absolutely fabulous. Maybe today my prince will come.
8 am: Prince didn't come. But I had an absolutely smashing idea for a new fashion line. Go me! But first, I need a hooficure.
9 am: Tragically, everypony else seems to have needed a hooficure, as well. This is... the... worst... possible... thing! Will this line never end?

--Sweetie Belle

3087454
I am seriously tempted to take that as a fic idea and run with it

3088553

If you do, you might want to look through the Very Secret Diaries of Aragorn, Leolas, Frodo, etc for inspiration...

Did the next best thing to deleting the post: blanked it out, which preserves comments but makes it a bigger effort to get here.

If you're clicking in later out of curiosity, there really wasn't anything to see here. Just a laconic emotional low and a lot of cool people being supportive.
