    Glimpses 2 - Now Complete

    Though it was a day late, hopefully, it's not a dollar short. I've posted the final chapter of Glimpses 2! I hope everyone enjoys the last chapter and enjoyed the story as I whole. I would also like to thank everyone that submitted suggestions to my blog about a month ago. The anthology would not have been nearly as interesting without your input!

Early Access Launch of "Nevermind" · 7:01pm Mar 31st, 2015

I've told you all about it in the past. I plugged the Kickstarter, but now things are really starting to get serious.

Eeyup, it may not be entirely pony related, but this represents a huge amount of work and effort by me and the rest of the team at Flying Mollusk. We're all really proud of what we've been able to achieve so far, and I hope you'll go take a look. And for those who don't quiet know what Nevermind is, here is our press-release for more information.

~~~
Nevermind is a first-person biofeedback-enhanced horror adventure game that gets more challenging as you get more frightened, honing your ability to manage feelings of stress and anxiety. In Nevermind, you are a Neuroprober – a unique physician who, through the use of cutting-edge technology, is able to venture into the minds of psychological trauma victims for whom traditional treatment methods have proven ineffective. Nevermind is – at its core – an adventure game (in the spirit of classic games like Myst), where you must explore strange worlds and solve puzzles to unlock the terrifying mystery that lurks within each patient’s inner psyche.
Dat cover art/logo...
I love it... I must become unbroke so I can get it! (Though first I should focus on healing, since I'm sick. ; ; )
your part of the team behind nevermind!? That's awesome! I watched markipliers playthrough of that one and I was really impressed with what you and your team created, I really loved the whole bio feedback part of it, really adds a whole new level to horror games
I am terrified.
*shudders violently*
I hope your game does well, Sir Penstroke, but rest assured I will not be playing it.
*shivers*
Hopefully this puts a whole new spin on gaming out there
Sorry my friend but I'm rather attached to what's left of my sanity.
How much is it, and how many GB of space would I need? (I'm on my tablet atm, and I don't feel like firing up the puter right now)
2928245
Windows Min Spec is:
OS: Windows 8
Processor: i5 5000 series @1.6 Ghz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000 series
DirectX: Version 10
Hard Drive: 3 GB available space
2928251
Okay a few things
1. You actually helped make a game. I'm new around here so I don't know too much but seriously, cause that's awesome.
2. How did you get involved in that sort of thing, cause I'd like a chance to do stuff like that as well if possible. I'm not good a video stuff but I'm pretty good with storylines, characters and crazy ideas. I know this isn't much but I'm curious cause this sounds pretty cool.
3. What other projects are you working on? Mainly asking cause I'd like the chance to help if I can, just saying.
2928251 does it HAVE to be Win8? I have 7.
Already gave it a go once it become available - promising so far!
.... though admittedly I'll need some biofeedback sensors in order to be able to properly enjoy it later :rainbowlaugh:
Later though, kinda short on money now :raritydespair:
2928296
It doesn't have to be Windows 8, but we can't make as many guarantees about stability.
2928403 they said the same thing about Battlefield 1942, 2 and 2142, that anything beyond XP would have stability issues. I have no issues with my 7 machine running them. Come payday (Thursday) I shall order the game and try it out.
2928274
2) You seem to misunderstand how I'm involved with the project. I'm not a writer, I'm the lead (sole) engineer. My day job, career, and college education were all into computer programming for games.
3) This is the only game project I'm currently working on at the moment. It's my main job, my 40-hour a week.
2928436
Sorry, for the misunderstanding. Just checking, thanks for the info.
Well, I may not be into horror games, but what I've seen makes this one look interesting. However, I do know someone who is into horror games and will likely give this one a good bit of free press (again) once he catches wind. Perfect timing, too. He just got out of the hospital and back on his feet. Oh Mark, we have a game for you...
Building in a feature that requires an $800+ peripheral seems.. extreme? Extravagant? A visionary artistic decision that the world is unfortunately not yet ready for? But hey, if you're going to be implementing biofeedback, might as well reach for the sky, right?
I'm interested to hear/see about the optional bio-feedback sensors, would you be able to provide information on them?
Cost, where to locate, etc.
I had no idea you were even working on a game... :derpyderp2: Neato. Was it difficult to get on Steam? I'm only asking because, eventually, I'm gonna have to look into it for something I've been working on. When it reaches that far anyway.
Also, you said not entirely pony related? Is it pony related? :pinkiegasp: Looks cool either way. I've always been intrigued by games like Myst... even if I have not taken the time to sit down and beat it at all.
2928521 So, it seems that the peripherals that are being quoted here, are actually full computer systems that happen to have the necessary systems to perform these tasks.
There is independent sensors available for as low as $75. Still a bit pricey, but much better that the 10x cost counter-option.
2928565 if you want a preview for how it works, watch Markiplier's go through of the demo. Can't provide a link right now via phone, but YouTube will have it.
2928695 That you for the reference, I'll be sure to check it out.
I had actually not realized Pen was offline, else I would have just gone straight to digging.
For those curious, here is the link his company has to the sensors: Sensor Link
2928521
There are cheaper sensors available.
2928565
http://www.nevermindgame.com/sensors/
Check out the sensor page for a list of currently viable sensors, a list we hope to increase with time.
2928565
And I realize all to late you already found that page :P
2928705
For the basic biofeedback, yeah, but it looks like the gesture control is only available on the expensive stuff. Or am I misinterpreting that?
2928707 That I did, I was just hoping for direction rather than digging, human nature and all that. Were I not a poor (and remarkably cheap) college student, I would love to try it for myself. I will purchase it eventually, but my contribution will have to remain, for now, shamelessly advertising your game to friends of mine.
Oh, whoa, you worked on a game? Like an actually game I can buy on Steam? That's awesome, and shows how much I pay attention to my site feed. You officially part of the team or whatnot? Gettin' those BIG BUCKS? Hopefully it does well.
i and a few others have a small lets play channel i will have to pick this up at some point and maybe see if we can do a lets play on it but ill need to some how save up for a a bio feed back device since there very expensive and i don't have that kind of cash on me atm
Well. I like adventure games, but, horror? Big nope for me. I honestly don't see the appeal.
HN-
Wait what? I have heard of this game numerous amounts of times, and watched let's plays, but never imagined that someone on this website would be involved with it.
Small world, huh.
