    Rokas SMASH · 1:20am

So I'm back two days late from my vacation/'trip, because my damned tires decided to go out on me. An hour out. Had to call a tow truck and ride back for an hour sandwiched between two Kentuckian good ol' boys. CENTRAL Kentucky. If I were in EAST Kentucky I don't think I'd be here. *Shudder*

Luckily, the friend I went to visit let me stay a bit longer and I got things taken care of and am now back. Not that anyone noticed me missing but I figured I'd give everyone a heads up why stories are going to be delayed.

Speaking of which, ASMD will update next. I know, I know, most wanted FS, but that's what I felt like working on. AFTER ASMD, however, Falling Stars will be on my docket.

Man, punctured tires suck, a lot moreso when it's more than one before you get the first fixed. Be glad it wasn't a bike you were riding!

And I have the feeling that I'm the only one that is actively tracking ASMD...

Actually the tread was just worn out and so the damn car was shaking. Oy. :facehoof:

Dude, my car's tires nearly blew out on me, I drove home for 12 hours through a pouring, heavy thunderstorm in the mountains where I-75 was one-lane only because Southbound was swallowed up by a landslide and I think my front tires need replacing now because the damn car kept wobbling back home. Add to that Orlando reminded me I was home by promptly having two people cut me off and the simple fact that everything seems to tried to have killed me in the last couple of days, I say to you:  BRING IT ON. :twilightangry2:

Chill, mate. I was just joshing ya. Sounds like one hellish road trip to me. I can relate quite well actually. On my why up to Wyoming last week, the truck I was traveling in decided to have a series of breakdowns that left us stranded on the highway in 100+ degree heat. And to top it off, the trucks left back tire did blow out. At that point my traveling companions and I were so jaded we were like, "Whatever." Oh and now it seems one of it's tires is wobbling whenever we head out into the field to work. Not a good thing considering we need 4-wheel drive vehicles.

I knew you were joking, I was just returning the favor. Trust me, if I were mad, I would let you know. :scootangel:

But yeah, sounds like you had your own crap to deal with. Funny how trips always end up with that sort of thing no matter how much we plan.

    >>225326 The ultimate frustration is happening now. We've uncovered the ankle and foot bones and the very last vertebra of the Rex we're working on and we can't find the head or the rest of the damn body! A friend and I moved several hundred pounds of dirt today cutting back into the hill so we could search for more and nothing. Nada. It made me want to punch ponies if the heat and exercise hadn't made it feel like my arms were about to rip free of their sockets.

Dang. Well, wish I could help, but I don't know jack 'bout diggin' up fossils.

Well, good luck with that, sir. Also, remember to stay hydrated and take your salt tablets.

    >>225416 Staying hydrated is the hard part. The other half of our group that's leaves to go work on a hadrosaur keep making off with most of the dang water. Oh well. If the rex doesn't work out, there's an ankylosaur that needs to b dug up. That should be interesting.

    >>225519 Thanks. Maybe luck will be with us this time since ankylosaurs tend to stay together fairly well. Mother nature did a good job with them.
