Hey guys.
Soooo.... I'm not dead, I figure I should probably start there. Sorry for not giving you guys an update in a long while. A couple people were worried I had just outright died, so I just wanted to post for that reason and give some explanation why I haven't posted or logged in in a while.
First off, if you've sent me a message a while ago and I never replied, I do apologize. Today was the first time I'd even logged in in a looooooong time, and I saw I had quite a back log. A lot of people asked similar questions, so most of that I'm going to try to address here. If you still had something to reach me about that isn't addressed in this post, send it again and I'll try to do better on replying than I have up until now.
So, some explanation why I haven't been on in a while or why none of the fics I've alluded to working on have come out. Mostly the reason is quite simply the ideas I had fell apart and what was coming out was not very good. I don't want to give you guys a half-hearted product since you guys deserve better than that, so I wasn't going to try to keep working on something I wasn't happy with. And it seemed like all the MLP ideas I tried to come up with for a while kinda fell apart like that.
Lot of people were wondering if I've left the fandom altogether and I will say that, in all honesty, I'm not as into MLP as I used to be. I still read some other fics and check EqD occasionally, but it's not a main interest like it used to be anymore. I personally think like... Declarations of "I'm leaving the fandom" are kinda overdramatic so I wouldn't say it's that, but it's not as big an interest for me as it used to be, which might account for why I had such a hard time trying to write fics, my heart wasn't as in it as it was before. I haven't stopped writing since I've always been a writer, but as far as MLP stuff goes, if I have a really good idea I'll still go for it but so far that hasn't happened for a while. Really sorry to say that, but I'm just being straight with you guys.
Another common question I've gotten is what's going on with the Season 2 of the Master Recording by MidnightMagicProductions. I'm honestly not sure since I haven't spoken to them in a while (this having everything to do with me being just generally busy with my family and my son more than anything else, I don't want to give the impression there's bad blood or anything because I love ALL of those guys, they're wonderful people and let's face it, half you guys never would have heard of TVST if it wasn't for their amazing work), so I'm really not sure where it's at. There was a long period where I hadn't heard anything about it at all, really haven't heard much since then. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you guys, but that's really all I know.
So even though I might not be writing fics, I'm still going to try to be better at being around, answering any questions you guys might have and trying to do better interacting. If you have any questions or things you'd be interested in hearing me talk about, let me know. If I have other writing stuff going on, I'll let you guys know for those who might be interested. I can't say I'll be around super frequently, but I will make a point to check in from time to time so there's not... You know, another YEAR where you guys don't hear anything.
