Crysis. Lots of em.

Crysis fanboy-ism away, One idea i could think of is...

A squad of soldiers, all suffering from PTSD of different origins, is being sent back to a base in the States/anywhere. After being loaded into the bay of a vehicle*, they set off to reach their destination. Along the route, the vehicle they are in comes into contact with pirates/enemies who immediately begin firing upon them. Getting shot down by the enemy, the vehicle goes down, crashing into the water, and begins sinking to the depths. The squad of men all dies by some horrific experience of drowning, enemy fire, or shrapnel. A deity, who has been watching over this group of men for a while, believes the best course of action before letting them go into their rightful place in the afterlife is to send them to cure their PTSD in Equestria. Setting down in a field of wavy grass*, the deity sets the men down, all of whom are unconscious. Upon waking up, the men have no memory of their deaths or getting in the vehicle*. They move to a more easily defendable position, believing they are in enemy lines. Moving to a more easily defendable position*, the men set up camps from their field packs, and make a temporary home. The next day, a certain group of ponies* stumble upon the camp, Looking for a good sight to picnic, and end up fleeing from the sight of the men, as well as lack of communication*.

*=Decisions by the author

* in order from beginning to end

*- Helicopter, VTOL, or cargo plane.

*- Any field is fine.

*- They have no memory, but will be able to regain that memory by a series of triggers. The deities are not allowed to wipe memories of death, only delay the finding out of them.

*- More easily defendable position could be farther into the field/wherever

*- That group of ponies is debatable; it could be the Mane Six, or just a random group of ponies.

*- Lets not make this too cliché, and make it so that communication is hard. Humans speak a different “Language”. Prior to finding a solution to the communication problem, the ponies sounded like horses. Except more… Sentient.

Really? I just searched "Crysis" again and found only two results on this site. As for fanboy-ism, I guess there would be a rampant amount of that, but that'd mean that if I did end up getting the fic off the ground, I could tap into an MLP-crossover-neglected franchise .

>>210619210619 Well, seeing as there are almost no Crysis crossovers, is mostly because of the majority of the fics being not as well read as some of the more... obvious franchises such as CoD, Battlefield, And Army/ETC.

If you 'Were' to get the fic up and running, which i believe you could, you would possibly tap into those reserves, making your fic a huge success. Whats the worst that can happen?

New idea! Another Halo-MLP crossover fic, but this one an alt-universe, what-if scenario.

What if when Regret's carrier jumped inside New Mombasa, it sent (some of?) the Mane 6 to the city, and sent Dare and dozens of other anonymous ODSTs to Equestria? How would both parties deal with their situations and try to return their own worlds? How would the scattered ODST squad that starred in "Halo 3: ODST" and their marine allies react to the sudden presence of ponies? How would the Mane 6 react to not only finding themselves on an alien planet, but one that was being attacked by a genocidal hegemony of alien races? How would Dare and a platoon of battle-hardened (admittedly OC) ODSTs react to finding themselves in a world of mythical creatures? How would the princesses and other Equestrians react to an alien military presence unwillingly stranded on her planet when their own planet needs them?

Ambitious? Yes, but I think I can pull it off! Of course, I wouldn't start it right away, but having the whole concept and conflict ready is hugely useful.

I don't know if I can nail it, but the egotistical ramblings are more of an inspiration than a direct analogue. Honestly I really don't have character dev planned, kinda because I'm not sure where to go. Perhaps the juxtaposition of violence upon Equestria's peace could threaten Alcatraz' mental health with a split personality?

My idea for a crisis fic was simply, Alcatraz gets sent to Equestria by an event where for the briefest moment, the two worlds touch. During this, the changelings plan another attack on canterlot but when Alcatraz gets sent to Equestria so do a few Ceph, and which the ceph begin to evolve and change the changelings, making them faster stronger and far more dangerous than ever before. And if you want to make it a challenge, they could be magic proof,but this works both ways, if the changelings can't use their magic ( not including their ability to shape shift, they can still use that.) they can't be affected by it. Some background pony finds an unconscious Alcatraz, (human or ponified) and helps him get acquainted with Equestria. soon enough he joins the mane 6 in the fight between the ponies of Equestria with their primitive technology against the now extremely advanced and deadly Ceph-Changelings. Alcatraz must once again be the weopen. Save Equestria.

On a side note, if you seen the trailer for Crysis 3, if you saw how new York looks like in it, that how I picture the cities or Towns taken over by the Ceph-Changelings.
