A Few Things.... · 11:37pm Jan 13th, 2015

1. The fact that I switched out my avatar (which was DJ) for the current one (Sunset) does not mean that I've given up on AAG. So will the thousand and one conspiracy theorists just knock it off? I've had to answer quite literally close to a hundred PMs on this here and at Spacebattles, so it's getting a little old. People change their avs all the time; why can't I? :unsuresweetie:

2. And on that matter:
- Next chapter of AAG: Started and in progress.
- Next chapter of BH: Started and in progress
- Next chapter of Polarity: Almost complete
- Next chapter of HSW: Started and in progress.

3. Because of the number of people asking me for writing advice, I'm considering holding an online writing camp next month. If you're interested, let me know, and if there's enough interest, I'll set one up; details will be forthcoming, obviously.

4. Might toss up a Patreon (because I can.) :pinkiehappy:

5. For those following, there should be upcoming information about both Claude & Monet and Razorblade Angel in the near future.

6. For those paying attention to my DA page, I should have some new fonts up, and maybe even some new (non-pony) art. Yeah, yeah, I know, you don't care about that. :twilightsheepish:

7. There is no seven; just seeing who would read down this far. :trollestia:0

Lastly, have some music.

Rofl. Do people really care that much about the avatars? That's ridiculous.

Direct quote from a PM:

please please please do not give up on AAG! Series is the best ever and I give up on it! AAG and write a special stop to support Sunset!

Oh, and change back to DJ avvy! Sunset over the cold!

I can't help but think that was machine translated and is supposed to be pro-AAG, anti-7DSJ.

2720816 anti-7DSJ?! Wot?!

And good grief. Like a writer can't just have their avatar, their spot to project an image of their choosing, be something that they want it to be?

:ajsleepy: This probably started because one person said "OMG! R u abandoning AAG?!" And others read that comment and panicked. Which sucks.

Oh, and when will 7DSJ update? sorry if that's obvious and I just missed it...

The amazing thing is that apparently this is all a delayed reaction. I didn't realize he'd changed it until the day after, though in fairness that might have been due to me being away from the computer for the greater part of that evening in question.

2720836 I didn't realize it until today when this post went up :rainbowlaugh: That's how out of touch I am.

Good lord. I read this and face palmed so hard I think my hand went though my head and landed in the next county. You have condolences. I saw the avatar change and didn't even give it much of a second thought. :pinkiehappy:

People change their avs all the time

They do? :derpyderp2:

Well, don't I just have egg all over my face. :pinkiegasp: I think the last time I changed my avatar was when my friend drew this one for me as a birthday gift almost exactly a year ago. Before that... um... I changed my Skype avatar um... some point after NCSoft shut down the City of Heroes servers in November 2012? Before that... I changed my avatar when I stopped playing Yu-Gi-Oh!, which was... god, when was that? I don't even know! :applecry:

I was going to post a comment about your avatar in your previous blog, but I figured that would be a Frequently Asked Question.
It definitely shook me that you changed from the image that I identified you as.
No longer will you be known as Doge-face DJ, but as photogenic bacon-head.

I find getting a new avatar is like a breath of fresh air after a while. But still, I find it very silly to just start bombarding someone with PMs out of an avatar change.

All this because you changed of avatar? Hell, I didn't even payed attention you changed it :rainbowlaugh:, not that I would have made any fuzz about it anyway XD

2720838 I thought I was the only one too :rainbowlaugh:

2721000 Yay to the oblivious! /)

I am concious that some people change their avatars like they were changing shoes. Plenty of people out there prefer to consider that they are Updating their avatars, so their avatars tend to follow a predictable theme, and for them to do what you did represents a clear change of priorities.
Heck, consider me: I have been surfing the Web with a Dark Grin avatar for some twelve years now, updating it only in the most minute details (such as having vectorized it some six years ago).

You changed your avatar?????? Aw, I liked that picture of Pinkie Pie listening to music! :trollestia:

when i pointed it out i was just being silly
the fact that people can actually interpret it like that is weird

This sounds like something I would be greatly interested in. Situations permitting.
