Parts Five and Six (Please Answer!) · 7:55am Jun 29th, 2012
I've been tossing around this little idea for a while, of how to write a couple of scenes for Part Five and Part Six.
Basically, instead of the perspective being either Twilight or Rarity, I would do these scenes from the perspectives of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Now, this is mostly just for fun, and it doesn't add anything significant to the story. It would just be Rule of Cool.
So, my question to all of you is this: should I write these two scenes from the perspectives of the Princesses, or from the perspectives of Twilight and Rarity?
(As a follow up to that, if you don't want it as part of the main story, would you like them written as bonus scenes?)
Hmmm, sounds interesting but difficult to decide for sure without some context. It would be nice to see what Celestia, especially, thinks of the developments.

Sadly, the context would give away a big part of the story. The best I can manage is that Celestia helps Twilight, and Luna helps Rarity, and both scenes mark major events for both characters. And that having Celestia and Luna's perspective will just heighten the dramatic irony that's been a major theme of this fic.
I'd say write whichever seems to be the most interesting/exciting prospect to you. Just don't try to write from no perspective at all, that can really throw quality into a downward spiral. As much as I like seeing things from Rarity and Twilight's perspectives, the prospect of seeing things from the princesses' perspectives is rather tantalizing.
I say go ahead and write them from the princesses' perspectives. I don't think such a shift in perspective would be all that out of place. Besides, I'm anxious to learn what the two rulers think of Twilight and Rarity's relationship.

I thought that might be the case. I suppose the only problem is if the events are so vital that you really need Twilight and Rarity's internal thoughts on them as well, in which case something like 'half chapters' showing first one then the other perspective might be handy?
I think you should stik to Twilight and Rarity perspectives.
It lets you add the thoughts and emotions that gives the characters life. And that is one of the things that makes me like this story.
I think it should be whatever you think would work. I know writers hear it alot but if its easier for you to write it comes out better.
