Apologies for Slowness and a Schedule · 8:44pm Nov 20th, 2014
Alright, so for the first week or so in November, I was visiting a friend in Las Vegas, a few of you commented on my odder hours, and that's why. Living three hours in the past will make anyone's schedule seem erratic. Anyways, I've been back for about two weeks, finally got back in a good writing routine this week (although I took Monday off), and I wanted to share my writing schedule with you all.
Monday-Friday: Work on Princess Luna's Academy. I can usually get a couple of thousand words a day written, three to four thousand if I feel like pushing myself, and the next chapter is currently at 17,000 words. I feel the rough draft will be finished either Friday or Monday, depending on how long these scenes go. Then, depending on when it's finished, I'll look through it either Monday or Tuesday and ship it off for my lovely editors to peruse. That's the good news. The bad news is that I have no backlog stored up, and it takes my terrific editors a couple of weeks to get through it. While this is great for quality and makes sure everything is as good as you all deserve, it does mean it will probably be December when you get your next chapter. The upside is that when that chapter comes out, my backlog should be built up so we won't have a drought that lasts this long again.
Saturday: I edit the next chapter of WTPV and post it. This is the closest I have to a writing free day.
Sunday: I go insane write the next chapter of WTPV, even if that means strapping myself to my desk and not allowing myself to leave until it's done (Which it usually does).
Anyways, that's the schedule. I feel as terrible about the delay in Sweetie updates as you do, but I am committed to making sure this silly little story is as good as I can make it. Hope the wait isn't too terrible, and if you want a story that focuses on a different marshmallow pony (and has a vastly different tone), check out Welcome to Pony Vale, updating every Saturday.
