So... uh... I opened a document to start brainstorming a new one shot I could do quickly and... uh... this is what came out;
Basically I need more non Twidash fics on my account. So, brainstorming ideas that could be non Twidash? Well, there's still the Pinkie VS Author thing, if you wanted to do a comedy. Or you could finally write screw you I'm a princess, but I don't really want to do someone else's idea. You could finally get around to writing that Castaway thing, but that's multiple chapters and a Twidash, both of those are things you want to avoid. A Date with Death sounds interesting, but where would you go with it? That's the problem with a comedy; I have no idea how to end one. I always have problems with endings though. I suppose I could finish Hidden Hearts, but again; chapter and Twidash. Why is it so hard to think of something that isn't a Twidash? Because that's virtually all you've ever written. The only non Twidash fics are ones that you just got the idea for at the right time and wrote them down. The only big non Twidash is Marks of History and you can see how well that project turned out; barely half your followers even looked at the damn thing. Is all you can do ripping of others and Twidash that's barely original? Seriously, how many of your stories ideas are actually 100% original? None. You've seen everything done before and you leach of it. You're nothing but a parasite, steeling the ideas of other, more successful authors and calling them original, claiming to put your own personal spin on it. You just sit int he shadows, waiting for someone to come up with an idea then you snatch it while it's fresh and mass produce it to appease the public in a pitiful attempt to gain more followers. You haven't had a creative idea in your life. Everything is ripped right out of something else. Rainbow Dash gets a thesaurus is a good idea, but... where would you go with it? Again, you can't write a comedic ending to save your life, as proven by that weak ending you gave the prompt tag short.

I uh... don't have a very high opinion of my writing, apparently... to be honest I don't think most of that's true... I just kinda went off and kept typing whatever I was thinking and... well... yeah...
Aside from... that... fairly eye opening experience up there - again, I don't think most of it's true, I was just having a bad time of things and went off on myself because... well I was the only person around to insult at the time, I suppose. I still don't know what to do for my next one shot though. I've gone through all my planning documents and unfinished stories, and everything either needs serious work that I don't want to put into a one shot or I just have no interest in it at the moment. For now I'm just going to focus on my two main Twidash fics, under Our Wing and Missing Dreams.
Currently I'm working on Under Our Wing, but upon reading over the current 500 words for the chapter, I have scrapped it all to get a fresh start, since I kinda wrote myself into a corner with it. I need a way to skip a bit of time without making it obvious that's what I'm doing, so for now it's back to the drawing board. I'll keep you guys posted on that front.
Four is Greater is giving me some troubles, because for as much as I've planned out the back stories and most major plot points, the one thing I have not planned is Dash's story before Twilight finds her, so I need to do some serious thinking on that front.
Marks of History, for the... *sigh*... 30 people tracking it, is currently in editing. It's been seen by one of three editors, I'm just waiting for the second editor to get back to me, make the edits, then I send it off tot he third and final editor. Depending on how busy the editors are, I hope to have the next chapter out... I honestly don't know when; I have no idea what my editor's schedules look like. As soon as I know you'll know.
Anyway, just wanted to give a quick progress report... yeah... Imma go write now...
