    Glimpses 2 - Now Complete

Though it was a day late, hopefully, it's not a dollar short. I've posted the final chapter of Glimpses 2! I hope everyone enjoys the last chapter and enjoyed the story as I whole. I would also like to thank everyone that submitted suggestions to my blog about a month ago. The anthology would not have been nearly as interesting without your input!

Past Sins 2nd Edition - Copies Recieved · 9:23pm Nov 14th, 2014

So, just this past summer the sign-up sheet went out for the 2nd edition of Past Sins. This time, the books were going to be printed in Poland rather than the USA, and the shipping was going to be handled by Equestria Publications team member Jakub instead of Illustrious Q. The books were also going to be "standard editions." Unlike the 1st Edition, they weren't going to have a fan-art section nor would they include the short-story "First Hours."

Still, Equestria Publications got 1,000 signups for this second printing, managing to slightly surpass the number of book printed as part of the 1st edition.

And, ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to announce that, not only has shipping begun, I've received my copies. So for those of you wondering if your books are on the way, or if they even truly exist, let me assure you it is all still a reality. Once more, Equestria Publications has conquered the task of printing an actual paper book, and those books are either already on their way or will be shipped out in the coming weeks. (Jakub is, after all, just one guy. It will take him a while to box and ship that many books.)

Still, at Equestria Publications request and partially for my own amusement, here are some picks from my unboxing of the 2nd Edition of Past Sins.

Of course, we have to start with the outer wrapping. I should really trim off and keep the Polish customs form to prove these books came from across the pond.

No true box contained these books. No, they braved the journey as five individual boxes, working together for the grand glory of the squad. Good work soldiers.

The five boxes out of their wrapping, each one sporting a EQP seal. These soldiers of shipping are in uniform.

First book is out of the box. I don't know if it was the printer or Jakub that did this packing job, but it is top notch. Each book looks to be individually wrapped in protective plastic and boxed. Someone wanted to make sure these books got where they were going in the best condition possible.

Now, through all these images you've probably noticed my unboxing partners. A Nyx statue, a little custom Nyx toy, and one of the 1st edition copies of Past Sins. I've now brought the 1st edition out for a side by side comparison. Honestly, at first glance, its really hard to tell the two editions apart from the covers, but I consider that a really good thing. Once you crack them open, however, the differences start to come to light. One of the most obvious is the new Certificate of Authenticity for the second printing. Have to admit, it looks snazzy.

Here is a closer side-by-side. I was sure the 2nd edition would be a lot thinner without all the extra content from the 1st edition, but they still look remarkably similar. Does the 2nd edition has heavier paper? I don't know, but both are still looking pretty sleek from the side.

And here, for the final pic, we have all five out of their boxes. They're looking pretty darn beautiful, if I do say so myself. Now, you may be asking why I needed five from the second printing when I already got so many copies of the 1st edition. Well, my reason is simple.

I'm the author, and I wanted copies from the second printing. :rainbowwild:

In all, I have to give a big round of applause to the Equestria Publications team. I was astounded and filled with pride when the 1st edition printing completed with such stellar results, and those feelings have returned in force seeing the 2nd edition sitting on my table. I'd like extend a real, heart-felt thank you to every member of the Equestria Publications team, and to all my followers and fans in general. The feeling of pride I get to enjoy from seeing something I wrote printed into such beautiful hardbacks, I wouldn't get to enjoy that without all of you. You all make it possible, I am immeasurably grateful.

So, again, thank you and I hope everyone can look forward to an enjoyable weekend.

ok and i am just waiting for my copy of Second Edition Past Sins to be ship

Awesome to see them arrive safely. Congrats on another milestone! :)

Aww. I missed the sign up... I really wanted one. :fluttercry:

Can't wait until the third printing. Then I can finally get my hooves on one.

This makes me cry because I want one so bad!

Always cool to see a fresh new book for the first time, ain't it?

That telltale creak as you open it up for the very first time...

~Skeeter The Lurker

what when was the sign up? I want one!!!

it makes me sad because i need it and i know i'll never have it.

stay classy:moustache:

will there be a third printing?

I loved this story from the moment I started reading, so the 1st edition hardcopy had to be mine once I found out
But it's always great to see massive interest even this long after the story was published, so yay!

I was going to get it, but the shipping was to much :fluttercry:

2595047 how much was the shipping

Mine should be arriving any day now. It was actually my 1st Edition copy that got my friend, Terri into ponies, so I thought this would be the perfect Christmas gift for her

Aww...I just read Past Sins a few months ago. :fluttercry:

*whimpers* I was here for the first edition and the last chapter coming out............I wanted it so badly......*whimpers*

Ahh the smell of new paper. Ive got the first edition already (sans dust cover) but maybe I'll dish out some cash for the second. This way each one will be unique. One has extra content, the other has the Dust cover.

I have my first edition #188 signed by Tabitha sitting next to my first edition of Fallout Equestria, I plan to have Past Sins signed by the whole cast one day.

Are there plans to make smaller prints of the extra stories following Nyx?

I suppose there is no way to buy the book, before it from Poland, without shipping it back and forth bethween USA and here?

Got my copy and couldn't be more happy :pinkiehappy:

I got my copy(#26) two weeks ago. Thanks to the fact that it was printed in a city next to mine I could actually afford it. Great job from Equestria Publications. Also reading stories more than once is more enjoyable than I thought it would be, but that can be attributed to the passage of time.

I haven't even been sent the payment request. Should that have happened by now?

2595177 Have you confirmed everything with EQP properly? If so contact them. I got my payment request on 28 of October.

2595190
Signed up, got update emails and then got the email that said:
"Hi [My Name Here],

We are ready to begin shipping process. Here you can see the certificate and preparations for shipping: http://equestriapublications.org/cert.html

Payment requests will be sent in batches, starting from this week. Please wait for your payment request. We will contact you in case of any difficulties.
We will ship your book(s) to you as soon as possible, after receiving payment for your order.

Payment request will be sent using the following email address: pastsinsprintproject@gmail.com

Please contact us if you have questions.

Best regards,
Equestria Publications"
I got this on the 28th.

2595195 Then I think you will probably have to wait a bit longer. EQP probably has some system in order to make it easier for them to ship everything and I got my book so fast because of how close I live. And I don't think I ever got this email fully, it looks like their bot for sending it crashed when typing in my surname lol.

2595209
*sigh*
I hope everything works out. I want to have this and I was so bummed when I found out that I had missed the first printing. When the second one came around, my excitement was boundless. I just don't want to miss out on it again because of some silly mistake in the system.

2595213 I haven't gotten an email after one like the one you posted yet either. I'm going to take this as a sign that they're still sending out emails. I've been getting super paranoid and jumping to my phone every time the email tone goes off.

2595220
I know, the suspense is KILLING me, and now that Pen Stroke got his, I feel like they might have missed something. The fact that you've been put on hold as well assures me that they are probably just being slow and probably haven't made any errors.

2595213

I received the email last friday, note that the email comes from paypal by the name of Jakub Izbiński

2595233
I assume you received it in your actual email inbox, not pay-pal. (considering I don't have a Pay Pal and usually pay through them as a guest.)

2595231 You should have seen me flail when my email tone went off for this message! But I'm pretty sure I'm at the end of their list because I waited forever to confirm that I was ordering one.

It's good to see that books survived the trip.

I want to assure everyone that the books are being sent as fast as it is currently possible. Requests are being sent gradually. It may take few more weeks. If you have confirmed your signup you will receive your request eventually. Please don't worry.

There are some copies still available. Please contact us through our website, if you are interested in getting one of the books for yourself.

it's good to now that the are on their way. I am 60% sure I sign up for one months ago but not 100% syre. All well if I didn't than I can try again later.

Aw maaan i always miss these things, i should pay more attention

umm I signed up but never got a payment confirmation email... what do i do?

2595547
Don't worry, I have the same problem and the people over at Equestria Publications have assured me that they have not forgotten about us, they are just having to send out the emails in "batches," not all at once, probably to keep the work demand low rather than flooding themselves with packages that need to be delivered.

Will more be made available? I want one.

A thousand copies of a hardcover book that clocks in at over 3lbs... shipped all the way from Poland?? :twilightoops:

One and a half tons of books? :rainbowderp: :applejackconfused:

The shipping costs on that must've been deadly... was it really that much cheaper to get them printed overseas than to have them done in the USA?

2595706 I can, indeed attest to the crazy shipping costs. It was like 25 bucks for shipping.

Sadly, I had only recently discovered this excellent writing so I could not have participated.

Already got one of the leftover first editions, but I'm super glad more people get copies. Booyah!

2595907 I know how you feel bro I just became a brony less than two months ago I MISSED ASK PRINCESS MOLESTIA :raritycry: I WAS GOING TO ASK HER SUCH GOOD QUESTIONS. Also I WANT THE HARD COPY OG THESE BOOKS SOO BAD :fluttershysad:

Is there anyway a big new fan of this story could get a copy of this book so I do not have to use my phone or my printer I pray to luna there is :raritywink:

2596010

I second this question.

2596010
2596199

There are some copies still available. Please contact us through our website, if you are interested in getting one of the books for yourself.

Just got mine today: I've never been so careful whilst unwrapping a package.
But I am extremely happy to finally have my own copy... shipped from Poland!
This fandom really does pull off some amazing things.
Thank you Pen Stroke! Thank you Batty Gloom! Thank you Jakub!
Thank you Lauren Faust and the creators of MLP! You ALL made this happen!
