The Last Roundup #9 - Jack in the box · 11:40pm Nov 11th, 2014
Hi guys. I've been traveling in space recently. For Physics class, you understand. The crazy mechanics of time dilation are such that today may appear to be Tuesday, but it's actually Sunday. You believe this.
If you don't... Well...
UH LOOK OVER THERE, IT'S HORSEWORDS.

And now for our feature presentation (stories listed in no particular order):
Button Gnash by Aquaman
In which Button Mash shouts incoherently at the most advanced hoofball simulation ever developed, Sweetie Belle observes and provides internal commentary, and something just left of shipping ensues.
Morcraw ses: Our respects to those lost in the great Button Wars of 2014. This one is generally really solid (as many of the Button *ash fics secretly were). It's got a good voice going for Sweetie Belle and deals a lot with the weird sorta-relationship she has going on with Button. Overall it just manages to be fun times, and fairly sweet.
Daring Do's Ghostwriter by Razalon the Lizardman
Everybody who knows Daring Do is real believes A.K. Yearling is her pen name. The reality, however, is quite different.
Morcraw ses: This one's a pretty neat idea centering around Daring Do. You might be able to guess that the bit about the ghost in the title has a lot to do with what this story is about, and you'd be write. If the concept of mixing ghosts and Daring Do intrigues you, you will probably like this one.
Siren Night by MetaSkipper
In the aftermath of the Battle of the Bands, this is how it feels to be Sonata Dusk, right now.
Morcraw ses: A pretty fantastic story that makes great use of parallel structure to create a powerful fourth chapter. While the style is pretty unique and takes some getting used to, it's certainly effective at conveying emotion.
Cutie Mark Crisscross by Everyday
The Cutie Mark Crusaders ask Discord for a favor. What could possibly go wrong?
Morcraw ses: Cutie Mark Crusaders race-swapping shenanigans! Also Discord. That alone should probably tell you if this fic sounds like something up your alley.
A New Sun Rises by Commissar AJ
What do you do when your plans for world domination fall through?
Morcraw ses: Because more emotional development and exploration for Sunset Shimmer. Celestia convinces Sunset Shimmer to go back to school after the events of the Fall Formal. Sunset agrees. Her return goes about as well as you'd expect.
WILDCARDS
Ⓑⓤⓣⓣⓞⓝ Ⓜⓐⓢⓗ by Obselescence
Ⓣⓗⓔ Ⓖⓐⓜⓔ: You are Button Mash. You have just woken up. It is time to play a game. Can you beat the final boss and eat all the breakfast? Score of 100 on Metacritic. Over 50 hours of gameplay!
(I know how this looks, but multiple people suggested this one for some unknown reason. I'll let Morcraw explain what was said.)
Morcraw's Wildcomments: What is this I don't even
Obs, why
A Moment With The CMC by DRWolf
The CMC are on the lookout for something new and exciting in the hopes of getting their Cutie Marks. But they've never met anyone quite like DRWolf before. And he's never met anypony quite like the CMC either...
Morcraw's Wildcomments: Cute CMC story, albeit without much plot and no explanation of the main character's existence. Can you put up with that in the name of d'aww? Maybe!
And that's it for this week, folks. Be sure to check back on the group next Sunday for next week's post if you think this is a cool deal. Or just check the feed, if you're following me. I'll be doing weekly crossposts on these every Sunday.
Have a nice day!
