    Memories of the fallen.

Nathan again, I just wanted to make a quick blog update for anyone who might want to give their best wishes. It has come to my attention that there will be a memorial service for Loyal held on the 19th of August. I'm making this post so that anyone who maybe happened to enjoy Loyals work has a chance to pay proper respect.

    We will remember him.

Hi everyone, my name's Nathan and I come today to bring some somber and tragic news. The reason Loyal isn't here giving you the news is because he sadly is the news. Loyal and I would have been best friends for 5 years this fall, but I am so very sorry to have to inform everyone that Jordan Williams appears to have taken his own life last night.

    Tattoos

There was a Tumblr post some time ago that mused on tattoos, how everyone was born with their own, and they were unique to that particular person. It went on to detail how, when one tattoo bearer fell in love with another, their native tattoos would appear on the partner's body. And would remain, even after heartbreak. Some people would be littered with the marks, and others would go their entire

    Fallout: Saddle Arabia is LIVE!

That's right, folks, the first (two) chapter(s) of Fallout: Saddle Arabia are published! This marks the first time I've stepped into the Fallout: Equestria fandom, after many years of reading the stories and playing the games.

About damn time! Writing again, and I'm not alone this time! · 12:38pm Nov 9th, 2014

Brace yourselves, Loyal's back in the saddle. And he's not alone.

Production of my next story begins tonight, with a chapter ready (heavens willing) Monday morning. Sadly, a wait is in order for you folks. (I KNOW! Three months without an update and now there's MORE of a wait!) The next story I'm working on (Without specifics) is anticipated to be teen-rated, and will take place in a pre-Luna-banishment Equestria AU.

It's late into my work day and I'm trying to type this on a phone so I'll keep it brief.

TL;DR, Loyal's back with Grand Moff Pony at his side, and we've got an ambitious plan for you all.

You stupid nigger you double posted the blog.

2583801
hooray for phone posting!

2583804 Obviously you need a new phone.

2583807
Galaxy S3 performing well enoug. Fimfic just can't code a forum-based website for mobile browsers.

2583812 An S3? Jesus christ are you living in the cretaceous or something?

2583813
Before this I had an Android PRO.

I'm looking forward such a partnership. Does sound like something pretty awesome will come out of that.

If you want some insight into the universe we're writing in, go check 'Solar Rays' by Grand Moff Pony. That was my inspiration to get back in the saddle, as it were.

2583854 Don't listen to this Loyal kid. His work is amateur at best but GMP's work is simply laughable, save yourself the time and use it on something more valuable.

Come on. between Gaming, writing, studying, working and reading that comment, i've found enough time to read most of Loyal's work. I think i can spare some to criticise GMP.

2585229 Why in gods name would you read anything Loyal's done outside of Moonstone? And he even managed to fuck that up near the end. Also GMP is a hack and he has literally no balls, his cunt wife probably took them from him.

Is it really that much worth it to be so subjective? I mean, is it that much trouble to be objective once in a while? Read something for it's scenario, it's writing, it's elaboration and structure, while keeping in mind who the writer is (wich is almost narrowed to how old he/she is), and in what context he/she writes. Follow those few simple guidelines, enjoy the read. This is the wikipedia of the Fandom's creativity: anyone can write what he or she wants, and does so, first of all, by pleasure.
All of the stories on this site are good, for all of them are considered good by at least one person. While it's true a lot of people on this site aren't making a lot of research and/or lacking the skill or knowledge to write real peices of litterature, we all share what we can, for it's the main goal here. Calm down, appreciate what you can, and be constructive.

2585431 Ok so let me get this straight. By your logic, mein kampf is a piece of literature that should be respected because someone found it interesting.

2585451
Wrong. It's a peice of art. When it was first released, it brought a philosophy and a way to think that wasn't ready to be read then, and today it states that the main reason why Hitler was what he was, and why he leaded the nazi movment, was because he was bad at drawing (he draw hands too big to make realism), so the jews running all of the arts college in Germany refused him and laughed their ass of when they saw his work. Hitler was an angsty teen with lots of charisma, not a monster. And the Nazi philosophy, if not taken too hard and by the letter, is worth a shot. That's why Mein Kampf isn't so bad. And i can't really judge if it's good or bad, since the only version i've found is written in german, and i've never took the time to either get it translated, find another version, or care finding it at the local lybrary. But i'm getting off-topic: La dame d'a coté est enceinte by Michel Trembley was a true work of art, and only featured a base scenario of a fat lady getting pregnant and dying while giving birth.

2585495 Well I'm not wrong because you just explained why you think it's a work of art. Also I have read the full text and I believe Hitler had a number of good ideas, eugenics being the most beneficial to mankind if it was viewed through a pure genetic lenses rather than a racial one.

2585504
So, you do share my point of view; it was controversed, though good enoough to call it 'peice of good litterature'. Another exemple would be the Twilight series; the scenario, the ideas, the characters, well... Everything- subjectively- is shitty. Though, the writing style and structure, the research (even as wrong she was about vampires and ghouls)makes up for it, making the first book... ''bearable''. The rest of the series, though, is a complete failure.
Though, if you want a true peice of art, i'd recommand ''Mister Norrell and Jonathan Strange'' by Susanna Clarke, a book about the history of magic in the UK, in the years 1600-1700. Every peice of research and annoted pages notes are fake, but does have enough depth as to being foundable on the internet (while still being fake). The writing, the characters, the 'scenario', the themes covered, well almost everything is near-perfect. Objectively, there is no flaw in this book. And it was one of the hugest books i've ever read in a week.
Well. That's my opinion of course- i only had one litterature class, in dramatics, while i studied cinema. I ain't no full-fledge critic or the one who holds the ultimate answer of the universe. Though, if you have high expectations and like philosophy and five-pages-long anotation about the name of a festival mentionned in the book, then it would probably be a book you'd like to have on your bedtable.

2585524 I count very few things as great pieces of art. All of Tolkien's work being some of it and Lolita being another bit with various other books mixed in.

2585534
You made a friend!

2585537 Anyone of the idea that Hitler wasn't a terrible guy is a friend to me. YOU MIGHT WANNA LOOK INTO THIS YOU KIKE LOVING FUCKTARD.

LOTR sure was a good peice of work. Tolkien held a good universe and built it up in such a way, every fantasy writer must- no, IS jealous at such a masterpiece. The only thing that killed it up is the franchise- video games, movies, merch... for me, it killed it off. A good novel and a good universe, getting known through it's writting, will never be adapted in all it's glory in a movie, let alone a video game. just like Game of thrones: ASOFAI was way better than the tv series will ever be.

2585568 Martin is the new age Tolkien. I will never forgive the money grubbing kikes at HBO for taking such a beautiful master piece as the song of ice and fire and dumbing it down to television fare. The only complaint I ever had with Tolkien was that he saw to literally with his white's and black's. Martin has created the perfect realistic world where good and evil are so easily muddled that it is impossible sometimes to separate the two.

2585586
And anyways, it has just came way too comercial. And predicable, unlike the novels; if a character has more than 3 hours of screen time, he dies. And his death will either: A) Be unnessecarilly dramatic, B) Along with another Character's death, wich had more importance, so you don't care about his death, or C) Dies way to violently for no reason, other than trying to be shocking (AKA Red Viper's death exemple). At the very least, Tolkien tried not to over-dramatise everything, and killed his characters when they had to die- or when the story needed him/her too.
That's why i'm a big fan of animes and ''kids'' shows. You only get random humor and light subjects, wich are a soothing balm after a way-to-busy couple of days.
