    Author update!

I'm editing stuff! But also incredibly dried out of writing power atm. I'll get going again soon, but just bear with me for a bit. I'm publishing a chapter of XCOM today, then start on the daily writing (not publishing) again tomorrow morning. In the meantime, always remember:

    Remembering Koji Wada

Like every year, I like to remember the man/legend responsible for the theme songs of one of my favorite shows of all time on the anniversary of his death.

So if you were wondering about the timing for the latest Isekai chapters? There you go.

    Welp, here's a life update

These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.

Update to the Isekai coming tonight! And some additional details and change of plans.

First, to everyone waiting patiently for the next Isekai chapter, I apologize for the delay. I know there are a lot of people that want to see another visit to Hell happen soon, and it will, I promise. However, due to some circumstances, I decided for a different pair of visitors to visit the bar this week.

Unless it was fish soup, in which case, thanks for all the fish.

I dunno... I'll miss Naruto, even if it got... different.

Dat Nami...

Man, looking back, Naruto was a part of my childhood as much as Pokémon, Yugioh, and all those things you do when just being a kid. I found Naruto online just after the time skip (I think), and the timing of my reading it fit well in the story as well as age progression of the characters really let me connect to it. Sure, there were some times where I was just really unhappy with how it seemed to stretch on and on with an almost Dragonball-esque feel for some scenes (although that may have been me being impatient at all the flashbacks every other chapter). In the end though, Naruto was a manga that really matured with its audience and I'm happy with the final chapters. No spoilers, but there's such a great sense of closure. I don't know if it was a coincidence that Kishimoto had exactly 700 chapters!
As goldenflame said, here's to 15 years of ninja! Dattebayo!

Just as a note, the Japanese is a bit off, but I share the sentiment.

They look so happy!

Now THIS is what I call a Crimson Dynamo!

Wait.

Naruto ended?

It's over? Really?

The ride is over...

Thousands of ships were sunk this day.

Thousands.

(And by that I mean the Official Pairings were made a thing.)

As of chapter 700, which most scan groups released today, Naruto has ended. Though there's talk of a series of shorts based on the kids, or something. Translations and memory is fuzzy.

I had heard Oda did something for Kishimoto in this weeks One Piece, but I hadn't seen it. This is a super cool mangaka fist bump. Makes me a little misty-eyed.

You know, a year ago I would have been able to read the damned Japanese in the blog title.

Some of the pairings surprised me. I had reservations about NaruHina, as it's called, but my friend pointed out that it's kind of sweet that Sakura and Hinata both get who they want, which is a nice change. Bit weird neither kid got the Byakugan though. Oh well. Genetics, am I right?

Ino-Sai is sorta creepy though.

it ended? and holy crap i actually feel something other then shame that I used to like it.

sorta like losing that toy you never played with see ya around naruto at least until the anime catches up.

There goes a part of my adolescence. I have to admit that I liked the last few chapters and am actually looking forward to that other Naruto thing that comes out 2015.

Also, now Tite just has to finish up with Bleach, so we can get that over with, too.

I'm completely lost... Soo... Have a fish dance!

Manga that last much more than 10 volumes tennd to not be able to hold my intrest.
Notable exceptions include Fairy Tail and Berserk.

I recently started to re-watch whole anime, along with all the ova and fillers... Now, that manga is over, remaining episodes are all That I wait for.

That "thing" Oda did for Kishimoto is the picture Loyal posted. Look at Nami: Her dress has the "Hidden Leaf" symbol all over it. Then there's that small dog/fox-thing in the bottom: It has that weird Uzumaki-ramen-spiral-thing on its back (the ones Naruto always ate). If you have an eye for detail, you'll also see that Luffy is eating the Ramen that Naruto always did, and even from bowls fashioned in the same way as that... Ichiraku(?) ramen stand he frequented.

And finally, the biggest "gift" for Kishimoto: Look at the figure behind Nami. You can't see much, but you can see just enough of the uniform to find out who it is: It's Naruto's uniform, and he's eating Ramen with Luffy.

2579250 Loyal?

Also you might notice that the One Piece logo is different from usual

Naruto is over. It was a good ride at first, later on.... it was a good ride at first?

2579290
Woops <.<
I was reading one of Loyal's blogs at the same time, so kinda forgot who was who xD

But yeah, I forgot the logo. Naruto instead of Luffy as the "I" and the "O" is the Hidden Leaf symbol xP

Not a fandom I stuck with, but it's kind of staggering to think it's over. It's something of an institution at this point.

Still, it had a very good run. I may go back and catch up. By which I mean read several hundred chapters...

I could not give a pluck, sadly, as I was never allowed to watch it as a kid, so... Yeah...

I do feel for your loss, though. I know the feels of a series you love coming to a definitive end.

2579250
The spiral ramen topping stuff is, in fact, called Naruto. It's pretty tasty. I'm grateful to have a wicked good ramen shop in town.

And good catch on noticing Naruto behind Nami. I caught all the other bits but didn't look closely enough at the uniform. There was also the OP Jolly Roger as graffiti on the Hokage monument. It was a nice touch, too.

Hmm... NAmi, RUffy (because they don't have an 'L' sound natively), TOny. So much love between artists this week. It's pretty great.

2579044 To be fair, I've seen that last ship done pretty well in fanfics.

2579511
...Well played on the initial-play. Didn't realise that.

Also, I didn't notice Naruto. I saw it pointed out somewhere else ^^

2579519
But... It's SAI! The guy who repressed all his emotions!

I dunno... but I feel that one is shoehorned in, even with a ~14 year timeskip.

2579564 Well, there's one fic that's honestly done a good amount towards shipping them currently being written called Kitsune no Ken. Basic premise is that, instead of ninjas, the Kyuushingai were volunteer test subjects in an accelerated learning program to train the perfect soldiers, and Naruto began the test at like sixish years old. Serious shit still goes down, but it's made a bit worse with no one having their ninja powers.

2579743
So... Alright. I've never had much interest in fanfics outside of Pony ones (dunno why), so I can't really say that it sounds interesting... But still... you go mate, to whoever wrote it? o_O

I know that feel, D. It feels like some part of me is missing now.

ええと... "raamen no tame ni *something*i *something*, soshite arigatou"?
*Google Translate*
"A long time for ramen, and thank you"? I'm guessing that's not quite what you were going for

Lost interest in the story a long long time ago, but I still had to check out the final chapter when I heard it was over. It gave me an odd feeling of melancholy, like watching the end of an era. I'll probably do the same for Bleach.

Honestly, I lost most of my interest in Naruto around the part where the uchiha really became creator's pets (Hokage summit, I think? didn't keep track, to bothersome) and until the last movie comes out, the end of the series will always feel empty, rushed, and nonsensical to me, on top of being blatant pandering (won't explain that one, the chapter 700 tells enough when it comes to pairings...).
