How's this look for some placeholder cover art? I think it's neat.
So, I did pick up writing like I said I would.
So far, the rewrite of Nomad's Requiem has started and chapter 1 is complete with 3062 words (it'll probably change). I just need to bother going through and fixing personal errors before I have it edited. I'll probably start work on chapter 2 sometime soon, but as I take breaks from writing that, I'm working on a new fic that I think is interesting. Or, well, I hope it'll be interesting. If it turns out to be poopy during editing, then we'll see what happens, but I really like the idea and think it can work out when it's all fleshed out. I don't want to spoil it, really, but I do hope that it turns out to be somewhat enjoyable.
Anyways, moving back to Nomad's, I know the last time I talked about it, people said they enjoyed the "comedy" of the old version. I'm going to be honest, the comedy ruined it. While I'm sure I'll write cute little scenes where maybe one dude in England will choke on tea for a second (hue stereotypes), I'd rather focus more on Nomad achieving what he wants in the end. It isn't going to be an immediate introduction to ponies, either. I'll take it slowly this time and make sure it isn't complete crap. Sorry to the people who may have enjoyed Mr. Cynical Nomad, but he's dead and gone and a better (and more accurate) character needs to come up. The story will follow the same plot that I had planned for it, but it'll be a new story entirely. I'll probably be taking down the old one once I have a few chapters of this new one written, edited, and ready to be posted.
So, yeah. Yay me for doing something a tad productive in my time while I wait around and play games/approve stories/watch youtube videos about ants.
Also, if anyone feels like chiming in about Nomad's Requiem, feel free to do so. I already know how I want the story to end, but I do need ideas for the middle parts of the story. Anything helps, so long as they're not aiming for comedy. I'd like it to be a serious fic like Thanatos' Creed.
