So: I just published a story that (judging by comments so far) you probably won't like.
It's not that it's a bad story. It's not a trollfic, or offensive, or unsettling — it's just targeted at a very specific audience, with a very specific focus, and it's not making any particular effort at outside relevance.
Go ahead and read Report 34 if you're into tickle kink. If not, it's not going to be a total waste of time — I mean, it's written by me, and you know how I cram in extra worldbuilding and little bonuses around the edges — but I won't be bothered if you skip it.
(For the record, this was the commission that yamgoth earned for his ice bucket thingy a few months back, buffed up a little bit as a bonus for his Writeoff Association prize support. In between reading delays and other things on my plate, it took a few months to make its way through the editing pipeline to publication.)
In summary, if I don't like the story, I can blame the Uncle of Machines. Got it.
So... this is what you chose to write instead of more chapters of Hard Reset 2?

My fiction project track record is already bad enough. I'd rather not add to that "doesn't finish commissions".
Edit: also, the "months in the pipeline" thing is deceptive. This wasn't months worth of work, it was just done around the edges of other things during those months.

Well, one often doesn't really choose what to write all that much to begin with…
I dunno, sounds kinda funny.
Tickling so is not my thing, but I'm still curious about what oddness you've turned out there...
I finally got around to reading "18th Brewmare" because of this fic -- I would have felt silly putting off a fic of a mere 4,000 words, but sillier still if I had read a clopfic well outside my desires before reading a comedy. I really enjoyed "18th Brewmare", so thanks for writing... "Report 34"? Also I guess there's an implicit compliment there in that I didn't consider simply leaving one of your stories unread as an option.
