Letters arc complete and posting Monday with Chapter 10 of The Knight, The Fey Maiden, and the Bridge Troll too

I have up to Chapter 99 complete in Letters From a Little Princess Monster, which is a little embarrassing since I *started* the arc in the middle of Covid season. It could have graduated from several universities in that time. Rather than tease bits out of it like I have before, I'm just going to go straight into my daily publishing routine and let you catch up on where I am on The Knight, The

Sun will be down for maintenance on Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience. --NASA

Here's a story by Estee you can read to take up the time until the Sun is all tuned up and returned to operation.

EA Total Eclipse Of The Fun
The second anniversary of the Return is approaching, and all Luna wants for the celebration is one thing -- something Equestria hasn't seen in more than a thousand years. This could be a problem.

    Big Leather Egg Sunday

A reminder (as John Cleese put it) that today is Big Leather Egg Sunday, and to celebrate, I'm linking the Best Football MLP story of all time by Kris Overstreet. Starring... Rarity?

    Goodbye Toby Keith, American Legend

Undoubtedly, if Toby Keith had ever done a tour in Equestria, Applejack would have been right there in the front row, whoopin' and a hollerin' as loud as possible. I think every high school in the US had a proud friendly guy like this, and we raise our red Solo cups in tribute to his last beer run. Salute!

New Year 2024- New Projects 1939

Still working on everything else this year, but I've got a sequel/prequel to Equestria: 1940 in the works, both a series of short stories set in the 1940 world up to the Equestrian moon project, and a war story showing some behind the scenes details about the war. For a little country the size of Ohio in the northern Atlantic, it has a lot of potential. Explosive, mostly. Snippets after the

A War Of Words sequel is about ready to go, plus links to things I found interesting · 3:15am Nov 2nd, 2014

First of all, The Night Guard - Night Mares, which is the sequel to A War of Words - The Opening of the Guard is done, and just needs proofread/corrected before I start sending chapters out for your amusement. It follows four mares assigned to the Night Guard and their struggles to be accepted as peers to their stallions-only counterparts.

PM me if you want a link to the Gdoc and are willing to mark my many goofs. The ending is a little undramatic, but since it is a Slice of Life story, the drama should be low anyway.

Oh, and just one other thing. It really needs a better cover picture. Here’s what I have now.

Let me know if you’re feeling artistic, creative, and generous. :)

I’ve got a good list of links to post, so I’ll get started with Links that Relate to Me. (Because I’m awesome, right?)

First, I have a guest chapter in xxjuggernaughtx’s story ‘Cheerliee’s Thousand’ titled Halt, Criminal Scum! where our favorite teacher has a date with a committed Nocturne policepony in Canterlot (well, should be committed). Enjoy!

Then we have a pair of team-up stories that I’ve started:

Flash Sunset, where Flash Sentry and Sunset Shimmer find themselves trapped in the Everfree Forest, and have to work together to escape. Includes ants. Lots and lots of ants.

Trixie and Twilight, Sitting in a Tree where Trixie Lulumoon and Twilight Sparkle find themselves trapped in the Ponyville Golden Oak library, and have to… Oh, wait. Where we find Trixie has talked herself into free room and board at Twilight’s house, and the newest Odd Couple of Ponyville now have to survive the consequences.

From there, we have a number of stories that I like and think you will like too:

From mylittleeconomy we have On the Origin of Specie where Twilight and Zecora teach the Cutie Mark Crusaders about the origin of money.

Days of Wasp and Spider and the sequel Final Solution, a futuristic/historic science fiction AU which is just fascinating, and does not include humans.

How To Train Your Batpony by Peter, a sequel to Jake and the Kid, a HiE story that I’ve been helping edit where a young girl and her best friend, a percheron stallion, wind up in Equestria. Very nice.

Smalltown Charm from Cold in Gardz about Twilight Sparkle and her experience with a quaint Ponyville tradition that involves spiders. Lots and lots of spiders.

And a couple of non-pony related articles

On Character Development, we have an enlightening article from Disney artist Brian Kesinger called Character Driven

And in honor of this time of year, we have The Scariest Short Stories of All Time

And an exchange I had with one of my wonderful readers on Letters From a Little Princess Monster.

Me: It goes along with the supervillain shouting "Nobody can stop me now!" Which normally happens right before somebody drops a house on him.

DragonJek: Houses are remarkably useful weapons. They aren't wielded often enough, though.

Me: Well, they're unwieldy weapons, so it takes an extra turn to ready one after use. Plus you almost never find one enchanted to +1 or better, so putting character points into the skill is normally wasted. On the plus side, they do AOE damage…

DragonJek: Houses aren't double weapons, so you can still enchant them at the normal magic weapon price. Buying custom enchantments pays off more anyways, if you can endure how long it takes to make magic items. A couple of feats can lower the downtime enough so that you can still make one attack a round, and with magic you can wield a house with pretty good reach.
And they have absolutely wicked critical hits.

I love my readership :)

I'd be up for prereading Night Guard, if you still need assistance. Unfortunately, I can't help with the cover art part.

Definitely looking forward to that sequel. I could be wrong, but I think that War of Words was the first of your stories that I ever read.

Addition: mylittleeconomics has a nice breakdown of Harry Potter on his blog post here that you might find interesting too. I'm working my way through it.

OotG sequel? :O Exciting!

Small-Town Charm even has some folksy wisdom from Granny Smith!

Ah, excellent. 'A War of Words' is honestly the reason I started following you. Though, 'Diamond Tiara Buys a Little Sister' certainly helped.
