I've been invited to a podcast

This blog is pretty easily summed up by the title. I've been invited to appear on a podcast, specifically The Barcast. They interview a variety of notable, or perhaps notorious, people from among the fandom and I'm their latest choice. I'd say they must be scraping the bottom of the barrel in that case, but I'm too flattered by the attention to say no. They are taking audience questions here (

I won a contest and new chapter on the horizon.

Hello, everyone. Sorry for the long silence, but I am still alive, believe it or not.

New DF: Extra Stuff and still doing things!

The title honestly says it all. I just published a new chapter of Dresden Fillies: Extra Stuff, which is the collection of odds and ends of Dresden/MLP crossover that doesn't quite fit into my main stories. In this case it's a story inspired by a reader comment 'What if Fluttershy picked up one of the Blackened Denarius?". My answer to that was so involved (over 13K words) that I considered

    I HAVE AWOKEN

The timetable for new chapters is questionable, but rest assured faithful readers that my hiatus is over and new chapters will be coming.

Not dead yet, but not writing either

So this is a blog post I should have done a while ago and I'm sorry for not saying something sooner. As it turns out, the final year of getting my doctorate is the most time-consuming thing I've ever done in my life. Between a full 40 hours a week fulfilling school requirements, having a part-time job on the side to continue living and maintaining the bare minimum of social interaction with

Happy Birthday Harry Dresden · 10:46am Oct 31st, 2014

It's that time of year again: Harry Dresden's birthday! To properly celebrate The Dresden Fillies: Great Power is now out. It's just the Prologue for now, but the first chapter is well in progress and hopefully I will have it up within a week.

So you enjoy whatever spooktacular holiday you kids are celebrating these days. Just one rule.

No necromancy.

you know what? staying up till 4 in the morning really pays off! because, the cliche of cliches, because first!

edit: 2566371 to get scubas attention

Happy Birthday, Harry! And congratulations on beginning to post Dresden Fillies: Great Power. Your two previous Dresden stories were certainly part of the inspiration for me to start writing once again (after a, oh, 20-year break). So, thanks!

Yaaay! Happy Birthday, Harry! And double yaaay, new story! :pinkiehappy:

Awww, come on. I wanted to ride the dinosaur this year :pinkiesad2:

2565831 And I was going to bring back The Apple sibling's parrents!:applecry::ajsleepy:

But, anyway, I will devour this intently when I have the time. Happy birthday, Mr. "The Building was on fire and it wasn't my fault!".

Me too! I wanna ride the T-Rex. :fluttercry:

Oh my goodness I think this is something I really need right now so thank you so much.

And happy birthday to our favourite snarky Chicago wizard! :pinkiehappy:

I guess the museum was getting fed up with it? :ajsleepy:

By the way, psychicscubadiver... put http://fav.me/d7w2ney in the "Cover Art" -> "Source" text field in the story settings of "Great Power" :trixieshiftright:

Hey, if Harry can skirt the rules on necromancy, so can I.

On a more serious note, I'm glad you have started on this story. I've been ready for this for a long time!

Ah, I've been getting the Dresden itch for awhile now. Thanks for helping to keep me sane between books.

*puts away magic sword* Damn necromancers, always causing trouble on Halloween. Never appreciate how hard it s to put the bodies back in the right graves, messing with people's closure. No respect at all I tell you. Well, at least I get to see how much worse Harry's day is going to be.

Wow, compared to all these other guys, my Halloween is gonna be a lot less sexy.

I intend to play Batman: Arkham Asylum tonight. Mostly to beat Killer Croc. Now, I know. Killer Croc, gameplay wise, is probably the easiest boss to beat. Psychologically, he terrifies me.

I've always been very good at roleplay so when I play the Arkhamverse, I'm not playing the Batman, I am BEING the Batman and that makes it worse for me. I know this should go on a blog, but not that many follow me.

Why I do this tonight is because I want to beat my phobia of the monster. I have the need to finish that game to complete my experience of the Arkhamverse so far but Croc was never meant to be that scary. And it has to be tonight since it's the night of Horrors and Ghosts and All Hallows Eve. Psychologically speaking, if I don't do this tonight... I'll most likely regret it.

Wish me luck.

No necromancy.

Awwww.... :pinkiesad2:

What?! Awwww, then what am I going to do with all these dead bodies?

2566335
Well, chili is a popular food on Halloween.

No necromancy.

brb saving this to bookmarks so I can comment on it again in 6 years

No necromancy

What about viral plages of reanimation

Would attempting a version of the Darkhallow that I cobbled together by combining the works of Aleister Crowley with Native American shamanic practices count as necromancy?

Remember Waldo Butters, the mortician? Yeah, you do. His Holy Lightsaber +3 is pretty dope, innit?

2565820
You have it. Now, what will you do with it?

2567155 brag about the fucking haul i just made. SO. MUCH. CANDY!

2567344
Did you fill a pillow case?
Because if you didn't then I have only five words for you:
Get on my level, noob!

2567356 I FILLED A GARBAGE BAG PLEB.

2567359
*Bowing fervently*
I'm not worthy!
I'm not worthy!

Yay, more Dresden files! Just what we need around Halloween.

2567359
That sounds like you filled it with something other than candy...... :pinkiecrazy:

2567457 nope, just candy. no dead bodies.

2567457
Irony: When you're all grown up, you can fill a garbage bag with candy any time you feel like it. You also realize that a garbage bag full of candy isn't all that.

I always knew there would be More "The Dresden Fillies" Though I never finished reading the second one, which I plan to do as soon as possible, but I always knew that their would be more.

Does it still count as necromancy if it's a dinosaur?
