I think it's time Luna gets a story of her own, and just in time for Halloween/Nightmare Night. · 12:34pm Oct 24th, 2014
Update: Story is up! Click here for great justice (and ponies).
Hello there, dear readers. As I'm typing this, I am awaiting approval of my Nightmare Night story starring Luna, a little story I like to call "How the Foundation Ruined Nightmare Night". With Halloween coming up next week I thought it would be a good time to release it.
So, this story has been in the works for a long time. Like, two years. I started writing it last year around early October, wanting to do a holiday themed story, but due to being exceptionally busy that month I didn't have time to get past the half-way point. So it sat in my email draft folder, unloved and unused, for nearly another year. At the start of this October I decided I wanted to finish it, and, after many hours of typing, it's finally done!
I've always liked Luna, and I love Halloween and Nightmare Night. It's probably my favorite holiday after Christmas, and I only wish it was acceptable to wear a costume for the entire month. Around the beginning of the month I was suffering some pretty bad fatigue writing for the same characters for ten months in a row, as anyone would be. I fully intend to continue JBtD now that I've released my Luna story, so don't worry about Celestia and company being left to collect dust. Consider this story my way of shaking off the cobwebs and getting some fresh air in the ol' brain.
So, yeah, hope you guys enjoy it. I've had a lot of fun writing it, and it's a complete tonal shift compared to what I usually write -- funnier and more light-hearted, for sure. And you don't need to wait for new chapters! All five chapters will be released at the same time.
Enjoy the story, and happy reading.
