So we have officially hit 2,500 people at least looking at chapter one in "A Ghost Story" so I think that deserves recognition.
With the amount of replies to my last blog post I have decided on going with first person.
Now onto my next questions for the upcoming story. Should I attempt shipping with the main character? Just shipping no clop (I have nothing against clop, I just don't think I can pull that off as a writer).

Well, it depends. If it's the mane six....you are already treading very dangerious ground there.....hard to pull that off without the story immediately having signed off on having one of the biggest cliches of HiE. However, you could pull a fast one and date a character like, say, Ditzy or Lyra, or another popular background character. You'd be on safer ground there, as I think human x Background character ships are actually surprisingly rare, or at least not well-known. Also, the hi-risk of having the character date in the first place....you'll have to explain the passing of a bunch of boundaries, which is where I've seen many human x pony shippings screw up. All in all, it depends on who you ship with, and how you explain it as being plausible.
181958 It would most likely be a background pony. I have two reasons for this. First off, as you pointed out, the main six are incredibly cliche and I love to be original. Secondly, I prefer a pony that isn't as well defined in the show so I can play around with their personality and character development.

Well that sums up my thoughts, time for me to hit the ol dusty trail! Seriously though(from here on out, this message is for Elemist) , I think if you want to ship the main character, go ahead and do so. Personally, I was hoping our ghost friend in your current story was going to be shipped with Lyra, and it was slightly disappointing when the story line proved otherwise.
I do not exactly know how well you can write a ship fic(as I see you have not done it before, at least on FIMfiction), you need to put a lot of thought into how to portray the feelings of the characters so that the audience can empathize and feel emotion from both the actions of the characters, and the direction of the plot. I do think you can do that though, given enough planning and thought(I am unsure how you go about writing a story, so I am just assuming you plan things out a bit). As a certain mask salesman once said "have faith". Good luck in your writing! I look forward to more chapters of "A Ghost Story" as well as your new up and coming story!

Hmm....I think you should go for it, then. I agree with the undefined part, as well. It allows for SO much more freedom.
Random note: It also occurs to me that the one ship I've never seen (At least seriously and not as a joke) would be with a human being shipped with Celestia or Luna. Well, unless there was a story where a human turned into a gary/mary stu/sue alicorn, but I never read those stories if I can help it.

Ouch, the constant rhyming. Unless you explained that she actually doesn't rhyme all the time, but that it is more of a habit than anything else. She can easily talk normally, but the rhyming reminds her of her homeland.

Do Ship Zecora if you want. Fimfiction NEEDS more Zecora shipping. And as Bronymaster says, she dosent need to rhyme all the time. Just sometimes. I vote for Zecora shipping

I think a ghost having a sexual relationship with a living pony is just going to feel weird. If you could find a pony ghost, it would probably feel more natural, well supernatural hehe (see, they're ghosts, so SUPERnatural? no? nevermind...)
That said, I will respect and support your choice on the matter regardless of what it might be, and will continue to track and read this magnificent, marvelous masterpiece (alliteration, yay!)

In that case i urge you to try shipping if you feel comfortable with it, I'm a sucker for a good romance story, and I really think you could pull it off without it being cliché
