[Researcher Twilight] Chapter 18: Exodus I + Big Blog of Updates · 2:26am Oct 21st, 2014
Hey everyone. So I just thought I'd give another update with some good news!
Chapter 18 of Researcher Twilight is more or less finished now, initial writing anyways. I'm just waiting for NATOstrike to give it a look over and make any tweaks he might suggest, then it's off proofing. So the next chapter isn't that far off now.
This will be the first chapter that I have written in it's entirety, and I'm not going to lie, writing this chapter was fuckin' hard! However I got into the swing of it towards the end. I had to reread the story and analyze the crap out of it, remembering all the small details to check and double check for any possible plot holes against material that I myself didn't originally write. And when you take all of that into account?
Considering the complexity of the plot in it's entirety, It wasn't easy.
However on the flip side, I got all of that out of my way so writing the story from here on out should be a bit easier.
On a side note I'll also mention that I am currently writing a oneshot as well. I never thought I'd see the day where I'd actually write a oneshot, but at 4k words in halfway, it looks like it's happening. As far as what it's about? Let's just say it's some EQG goodness.
Now I'll be the first to admit it, I did not like Sunset Shimmer in EQG, but in EQG:RR she has some awesome character development that molds into a character that I now love. Between that and a particular one shot, I found myself inspired with an idea that I just had to write. I'll also point out that this will be a Mature story. I won't say clop, I WON'T SAY IT! Because I don't view it as such, as it has a bit more depth and slice of life feel to it than 'clop'. However it is still technically NSFW
Lastly, don't worry, Colors of the Heart isn't being shelved or anything like that. In fact I have got a fair bit of work done on it. I'm out of my year long writers slump and back in full swing. Unfortunately Colors won't see an update for a while yet, but when it does, it's getting three chapters in one go. (Two of which are almost finished.)
But wait! THERE'S MOAR!
As some of you may know, I'm an editor for a number of stories. (Though far less now that I began writing again.) One of which was Spiders and Magic: Rise of Spider-mane which has now come to an end and is completed. Although the story is finished a sequel is on it's way for it, which I am actually collaborating with it's author, Maximus_Reborn to write. We decided on a collab as he is primary an Action writer, while I am a Slice of Life writer and the story is primarily slice of life. What with my contributions and enormous amounts of edits, we concluded that it's gone above and beyond simple editing and said "Fuck it, this is a collab now."
So if you guys are interested in a good read on a story that is complete, I recommend you check out it. I don't care much for superhero stuff, nor am I really a spiderman fan, but I found that I still really enjoyed this story, even more so working on it. So if you're even the least bit interested it might be worth looking into.
So yeah! That's what I've been up to as of late. It's nice to be pushing the pen again, as well was using all this data gathered from obsessing over visual novels for the past 8 months.

I like that picture with your OC with Fluttershy. She looks so happy. A lot of other times in the story she was sad or scared. Here she looks genuinely happy.

Yeah. Writing's hard. And it has a way of exploding on you. The next chapter of my main story was supposed to be a quicky, but it turned into a 10k word monstrosity that I've had to split into three separate parts which I'm now trying to polish off. But after that, I can finally get around to finishing that "other thing" that's been unfinished for way to damn long.
And an update for Colors!
I can't even remember what the heck happened last chapter!
