    2022 recap

I’m uncertain of how to feel about this year. 2018 was the worst year of my life at the time which every following year being part of a downward spiral. And I recall 2021 being so miserable for me towards the end that I rarely left the house without a full flask on my person.

    Exploring more options

In an attempt to provide more options for my readers who wish to support me, I have I have created a Subscribestar account. I understand that some may have become more wary of platforms like Patreon in recent months, and while I would prefer being supported through Patreon since if gives me a little more control on how my payouts work, Subscribestar

    Words fail me

I got a text from my mother today shortly after my shift started. Was told my father was slipping and would not be with us much longer. This was unexpected, yet not surprising. I had received a similar message a month ago.

    Starting at the bottom

I suppose everyone reaches a point in their life where everything seems to peak before consistently and persistently trailing downward in a spiral that never ends. For me, that spiral started in mid 2018 and has never let up. And anyone who has kept up knows what the highlights of that descent has been.

Fair is over · 11:22pm Oct 20th, 2014

Well, the Crystal Fair has come and gone once more. Still didn't meet up with any friends or fans, but I did see some familiar faces once again, such as some of the staff and even Lamia. It felt good to meet people who remembered me.

Overall, it was a fun time. The convention was much better set up due to the feedback from last year, the game room had more to offer, and the art room had even more artists show up. Needless to say, I shopped til I dropped and probably bought more than I should have. But isn't that what going to these cons are all about?

The whole thing was great, though I ended up missing the closing ceremony at the end when they started drawing out the charity auction like nobody's business. Throwing in an extra five items is funny, but throwing in twenty is really pushing it, especially when you throw in an egg salad sandwich that spawns a new OC pony. Yes, people. Pun Salad is a thing now.

Still, a great experience and it hurt to see it all end. I will definitely be back next year, hopefully to see some friends and fans. I was dealing with a serious low point and even depression recently, so I really needed this. It's good to be home and I'm glad I went.

Glad you had a fun time. I would go if not one, location. Two, travel time. Three, low self-esteem. Four, it'd be VERY awkward for me. Five, my brony side is a kept secret from most of my friends, my girlfriend and family; my mom and brother excluded. Six, the costs of attending. And so on. Believe me, if all the people in the world would show respect and not try to provoke trouble for being what we are, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

2546509 A fair amount of people pass through that area since the place is a popular thoroughfare and they never gave me any trouble. I don't think you'd have to worry about being bothered.

2546611 I guess, still... it'd be very uncomfortable for me.
