Lulu has announced this year's Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal -- use coupon code TWINKLE30 to save 30% on print orders through Tuesday, November 28th. This includes all Ponyfeather Publishing releases, as well as many Friends of PFP releases.
I've had a busy year preparing for Twilight's Book Nook at Everfree Northwest, and a big part of that has been finalizing new Ponyfeather titles to debut there. The Book Nook's inventory is winding its way through Fedex's network as we speak, and with just a couple weeks to go it seemed like an appropriate time to
Was pleasantly surprised that more than a handful of folks were interested in a print!
I've gone ahead and set the edition size at 50, which I think should be more than enough to cover everyone who expressed interest, any stragglers who show up later, plus anyone who's interested in it at Everfree.
From the article: "Hasbro Studios will take the reigns of “My Little Pony,” producing and financing it in-house. It is in discussion with studios to release the film “on the broadest possible number of screens,” said Stephen Davis, president of Hasbro Studios and global entertainment and licensing for Hasbro Inc. “We’ve very excited about the potential of that movie.”"
Reigns? Really? It's a flipping PONY article, and you can't even get REINS right?
2545546 It's karmic balance. They're taking a word with pony connotations and substituting a non-pony homonym, exactly the opposite thing that the characters in the show do!
Gotta keep the universe from tipping over, after all.
I am glad that they're finally doing a reasonable thing, but remain guarded because Hasbro's official movies have been largely traumatic to their core properties. The last thing we need is the Death of Optimus Prime v. 2.0.
I know, it's a movie about the ponies themselves, but I decided to have a bit of fun with the way everyone's wording it. In the mean time, I'm sure we have 3questria Girls and EQG 4: Senior Year to "look forward" to! (And in non pony news, we DO have the Ratchet and Clank movie to get hype for. HYYYYPE!)
Honestly, what makes me happiest about this is that it all but guarantees we'll have a season 6 and 7. I doubt they'd let the TV show end before the movie comes out.
2623395 Yes, but the point of this blog post, and of the linked article, is that Hasbro is working on a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic movie. Not a just My Little Pony movie, which is not news as there have been four feature-length films (My Little Pony: The Movie, My Little Pony: Twinkle Wish Adventure, My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, and My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Rainbow Rocks), and more than four if you include the 44-minute "features" released in Gen 3.
As in, the ponies? Not EqG?
...
Are we going to need more gifs or not? I can't tell from reading the press release.
(Aside: Monopoly: the movie? Candy Land: the movie? Those sound if anything worse than Mario Bros: the movie.)

My read of the article makes me think it's the ponies, not EqG.
My enthusiasm is slightly dampened by the fact that the showwriters aren't doing the screenplay.

Well, unless Meghan means something completely different by "mane six", it's apparently going to be a G4 movie:

I'm terrified.
Woah!
Friendship is Magic is getting a movie!
Isn't that exciting, Sunset Shimmer?

Optimistic brain: OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG
Pessimistic brain: Flash Sentry.
