so I'm writing a book · 4:26am Oct 17th, 2014

So I'm writing a book.

Actually I've been writing some stories about a few characters for a few years, and it had occurred to me before that I could compile them into a book, but I think I've finally reached the point where I actually... am. It's a collection of various adventures of a young woman who perceives time out of order as she struggles with her sexuality, religion, maintaining her strained friendships, and also the fact that her mother's a witch. It's got monsters and supervillains and extended metaphors and all kinds of fun stuff. Mainly, this is the thing that I'll be giving up my fanfic time to work on.

I mean, don't expect anything. No getting up of hopes. There's no chance I'm going to get anything meaningful done in less than a year, and it might not even take off at all. But hypothetically, if I were to create such a thing... would you be interested in reading it?

That's great your making a book but your story just isn't my style But for you it sound Great it does peak my interest a bit

That sounds like exactly the kind of thing I'd pick off a shelf at a bookstore. I wish you the best of luck in bringing it to fruition, because I'd love to read it.

Well, if you're good at something, start charging for it. As someone whose writing a very deep, complex, and lengthy story, you definitely have the writing talent to produce the kind of stuff people would pay to read. Many successful published authors started of the arena of fanfiction, and since you've proven yourself a champion, I think it might be time for you to try the big leagues. Also, yeah, I'd totally give that one a read.

Yes. I'd read it.

I'd certainly give it a shot.

Were I to read anything for leisure, it would be your work.

Struggles with sexuality might turn out cliche unless done well - it seems everyone does it nowadays. The rest... definitely. I haven't seen your non-pony stuff beyond short stories, so I'd be too curious to pass it up.

It sounds interesting, so long as you keep a firm grasp on the messages you want to convey. I'd give it a try, certainly.

That sounds extremely entertaining and given the quality of your writing, I would not hesitate to read it.
