Sometimes, I like to think about my stories thematically, like the basic theme that persists through every story, or the change that comes about through the conflict. For instance, Words are Louder might be summed up as 'Derpy learns to be more open'. Or, for another example, Shadows over Ponyville being 'Rarity learns to stop worrying and love the meat'. (If you haven't read that yet, a pox on thee! It's probably my most planned story ever! Lol.)
Actually, thinking about it as I type, there is another level to this theme, especially in sequels. To use my most prevalent examples:
Sunset - Twilight learns and accepts her past
For Want - Twilight accepts her present.
[Redacted: Unauthorized Access - Using placeholder "Part Three"] - Twilight learns about her future.
Whoops. I shouldn't have said that last one. How clumsy of me. ;P
... And what's this about a bronze dragon on my master to-do list? How peculiar.
While I'm at it, I might as well also add that the Retrospectives for Season Two will be coming along in October. I can't see Season Five being more than 25 weeks away by now. So there's that at least. ^^ Yay.

wow. I didn't think you'd continue writing that verse after all that. For Want was a beast of a story. too tired to express my excitement for that tease, but hope to read it someday.

A little bit, I guess since it has similar pallets, but beyond that there's not really that much of a similarity between the two of them, at least in my mind.

Writing a NEW Sunset would be silly and confusing.
But yeah, there's an idea in here about at least one more story in the same continuity. Perhaps it could spawn a new continuity later on, but I dunno. The writing muse is a very hash mistress.

I meant mostly the fact that Twi is actually an alicorn now, and that her mane/tail went straight Eos on us. It was the first thing I noticed when I saw the episode. "Oh my god they stole Eos." My wife gave me a funny look, but it was the first thing that came out of my mouth.

No but seriously, I look forward its continuation whenever that time comes. Always enjoy reading your retrospectives. I should probably make a point to comment on them once in awhile too.
