So, I've bee rereading God Empress of Ponykind and Warmistress of Equestria, and I've been thinking about things:
Warmistress isn't really going in the direction I had originally envisioned.
I mean, it's not that I don't like what I've done, it's just... well, the way I set up the final battle in God Empress made it seem like Celestia's defeat of Nightmare Moon/Tzeentch is so definitive, like Chaos was forever wiped from the plane of Equestria. But then Warmistress goes and shows that no, that's not the case, and... well, it's really bothering me.
So, I really hate doing this, but until further notice, Warmistress of Equestria is on hiatus until I can sort out my feelings for it.
In all honesty my friend, Warmistress really didn't grab my attention like God-Empress... maybe it was because of my usual aversion to Luna centric stories, maybe it was that I really had no idea as to what was going on.
The ending does have a very definitive feel to it. However, this could be used a drama device to show just firmly secure Equestria is in it's peace and how big of a disturbance or upset it would be when Chaos returns in some form.
Or something along those lines...
Hmm, perhaps there are small pockets of chaos that reformed? I mean, if Tezeentech (I can't remember how to spell his name), is such a badass wizard, he'd probably have some little chaos energy things hidden, just I case.
I have to say, I did sort of get that feeling myself at the end of GEoP.
Not that I wasn't enjoying Warmistress of Equestria.
You could argue that Nightmare Moon's defeat was all a part in some incredibly convoluted plot by Tzeentch for... reasons. He's the Chaos God of Change, his plans barely make sense to anyone that isn't him. Maybe his defeat was just the first step for some big invasion or something.
