It's the obligatory new year blog post.

And yes, I am posting this at around midnight on new year. I have a nasty cold, so I decided to disobey nurgle's one command and stay home.

    Just for kicks

I'm mucking around with Lulu for a work-related project (very boring stuff) and thought I would do a quality test with something fun.

D'awwww! You know, I had never really listened to the lyrics of this song. I heard on the radio often enough and thought it was beautiful and such, but as a teenage boy I just glossed over the thoroughly dark and depressing words.

I always loved this song, it's very... seductive? The music is simple and sad, and just draws you in. And then you learn the lyrics...

Same with Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which was written in '73.

They had the most uplifting nursery rhymes too.
