It makes me so happy that Sunset had a bit of interaction with Fluttershy. (Mainly cause I friendship them hard and wrote a one shot about them.) plus I hope to see more development of her character.
it's nice to see that she's trying though.
That being said, a lot of the faces she makes In this are just.....I can't describe.

2401817 Heh! I love the EG character designs, personally. Especially Pinkie, Twilight, and Sunset...oh hell, I love all the Mane Six and Sunset. But Celestia...I never did like her EG character design. She just wasn't translated well to pseudo-human form.
It'd be nice to see the girls wearing footwear other than those boots, though. Rarity in high heels, for example, and Rainbow in hi-tops.

I'm just not a huge fan of the the head/body/leg ratio (and the fact that almost all the girls have the exact same body shape were's the males have a much more varied look). I like some of the outfits, especially Sunset's, and also really like her hair design.

That's how I feel about...oh...the entire cinema industry. I haven't been in a movie theater since 2007.

Oh don't get me wrong. The fans have done great things with the Equestria Girl designs. Though, I usually find fan-art a bit more visually appealing to look at then the actual designs.
Like I said, the ratio bugs me. If you look at pretty much any female character, their heads are as big as their torso and then most the rest of them is legs.
Some clothing options detract from this though. Skirts sort of highlight the skinny waist, but all the main characters have boots that go up to their knees so the legs don't stick out so much.
I also noticed in the last sneak peak that hoodies + jeans means the design doesn't stick out so much. However Tia here is just wearing a shirt and pants and it's like "Holy crud, legs!"

2401857 See, I go out to the movies, but only occasionally. When I do, I take full advantage of my military discount and only eat or drink there when I've racked up enough points on the free card they gave me to get more free stuff at the concession stand. I only ever pay 7 dollars.
This actually looks rather promising. I was going to see it anyway, but now I actually looking forward to it.

You know, I can't help but notice that Cutie Marks have caused poodle-skirt designs to come back in a big way.

Also, Fluttershy is wearing kind of alot of eyeshadow. And only she and Luna are wearing any.

And the proportions always did bug me. There is no way that snack-binging Pinkie, farm girl Applejack, athlete Rainbow Dash, and wilting vegetarian Fluttershy have the same build. No way in heck. They all have weirdly tiny torsos, especially considering the way the Ponies have fairly large barrels.
I get that they're trying to deemphasize both variety and sexual characteristics for marketing and moral guardian reasons, but most animated depictions of teenager girls at least generally acknowledge they have breasts. I'm not saying that it has to be a huge thing, the design just seems overly abstracted to me.

I'd gotten used to the impossible skin tones, everyone wearing boots, and almost everyone wearing skirts, even when it seems out of character. *coughRainbowcough* Then, "Holy Shit, Tia's legs are long!" Actually not helped by her and Luna wearing pants. Kinda bizarre, though, since I really like the Dazzlings' designs, Aria Blaze especially. And guess what, she wears pants!

2401857 I'd only go to a theater to see it if a bunch of friends go see it when I say bunch I mean 10 or more. I don't buy food in there. I either get something after or sneak it in. Besides the popcorn there makes me sick.
