Party Pony Prose Party soon! · 2:03am Aug 11th, 2014
Different people have different milestones--number of views, number of followers--but I get obsessed with the number of words I write. I got curious to see how much CheesePie I'd written, so out came the ol' calculator:
WITH the Equestria Girls stories and the Great Expectations/Triple Threat/Triple Slam stories: over 80711 words
CheesePie for the lactose-intolerant: meaning that the CheesePie is only in the background. These would be Mr. Lonelyheart Meets Miss Lovestruck, Slice of Life, and Flash and Trend Steal All Your Waffles: 17373 words.
Total: over 98084 Quiche words.
I know there are other CheesePie writers who have written this much or nearly this much. Right? Please tell me I am not the only one. But it's still kind of cool.
I know I can't manage whole stories, because I will get side-tracked, but when I hit over 100,000 words, probably after I post the next chapter, it will be time for the Party Pony Prose PAR-TAY!!!
That means I will open up drabble requests, with the following conditions: no gore, no clop, and no breaking my OTP. Otherwise it will be ON!
That is a lot of words. It's official, CheesePie is addictive.
Anyway, I wish you well on reaching that 100,000 word milestone.
There is no shame in being the only person to devote a hundred thousand words to this ship. Not when you've done so much with it.
2359893 You're getting there, I notice. Close to 72, 000 words and growing.
Whoo, good job scoots!
2360163 BluegrassBrooke's pretty close! If I didn't count the EG fic, she'd be well ahead. But of course I do count the EG fic.
I think Sketcha-Holic's right. It is an addictive ship.
Hmm ... what have I focused on?
I think mostly Luna (with her Reincarnation Romance with Twilight in the background); Fluttershy's (not always very successful) attempts to fit in to normal Pony society (or the variant of it that is the Mane Six, which is a bit weirder and more tolerant of strangeness); the Apotheosis of Pinkie Pie (which kind of folds some CheesePieness into some of its parts), the Adventures of the Great And Powerful Trixie (who strives to live up to her self-invented heroic epithets), and the Reconciliation of the Changelings. So far. I keep finding new stories to tell about this world.
100,000 just on CheesePie. I love it. I myself have only written 42,000. So I'm a bit behind. It is pretty fun to write, and I'm not done with it. I'm not sure if I want to do another series on it though.
TwiPie at the moment stands at 16,500, and that's including Hot Water. If I get off my ass and write all of Violet Reflections, I see it overtaking CheesePie by quite a bit. It could even be at about 90,000 words by itself. Then there's the clop sequel.
But still, congrats on the milestone. That's quite a feat reaching 100,000 words just on one ship/premise. I'd love to give you one of the stories I have in my vault but haven't written anything for for a drabble request. The ones that are safe of course. I'm looking at them now, and the last time I opened some of them was in April. Christ, really? But I do have a party-themed one. Sort of anyway. That could be good.
And in celebration of these party ponies:
