Battle of the Reviewers (a Josh Scorcher tribute) · 1:40am Aug 11th, 2014

So, a while ago I watched this video:

In the first place, a round of applause for Josh Scorcher aka The Fiery Joker for being in the top percentile of internet reviewers. That is no small feat. What he didn't count on, however, was me getting bored at work. Best not to take this too seriously.

(Nonagon kicks down the door)

(Vocalizations)

We heard you want to join the Channel
We heard you want to rock the Net
So strut your stuff, impress the panel
Come gather round, start placing bets

Why try to make it on your own
When latching on brings glory (brings glory)
Make that ratty couch your throne
Let someone else prepare your story

You and me, me and you;
Why don't we prove we're the greatest?
Popularity's all that we live for
Yes everything can be solved with competition
Your fame depends on winning this audition

You're a star, I think you know it
'Cause you talk louder than the rest
It doesn't matter who's ripped off
To shoot your view count to the best

Ahh, ahh-ah-ah!

Battle!
Of the reviewers!
Let's have a battle! Battle to the death!
Let's have a battle!
For countless viewers!
Let's have a battle! Battle! Battle!
Battle to the death!

"My show is the best!"
Battle!
"Let me analyze why you suck!"
Battle!
"Top ten reasons Rarity is the worst:"
Battle!
"This comic su- um, uh, stinks!"

You and me, me and you;
Why don't we prove we're the greatest?
Popularity's all that we live for
(Hm... I didn't ask for this much competition.
I'd better win by rigging this audition!)

Battle!
Of the reviewers!
Let's have a battle! Battle to the death!
Let's have a battle!
For countless viewers!
Let's have a battle! Battle! Battle!
Battle to the death!

(Nonagon stops, throwing his hands up in the air dramatically. Then he realizes that this stopped being relevant two weeks ago and everyone has already gone home.)

Dang.

(Note that this isn't an attack on anyone; far from it. This is a villain song, after all. In this scenario, it's up to Josh Scorcher and friends to prepare a magical counter-review to wipe out elitism and preserve the integrity of the Channel Awesome auditions, and wow this already sounds better than Rainbow Rocks.)
