Friday, Day Two of the Con · 4:42am Aug 2nd, 2014
Sorry for the daily blog spam, but I don't think I can remember all of what I do if I leave it till later to do.
Anyway! Let's begin!
Woke up today and found that the shower is small in this place. Like, ridiculously small. 24th is a good foot on me, and I know that bastard had to hunch over in it.
Tis funny, really.
After that, headed into the con to get my badge, which was amusing as they set up a winding corridor that was like 20 rows, at least. Thing was, the speed of which they were getting people badges were so fast and good at it that the rows never got past two filled.
We essentially had to walk back and forth and people got creative and jumped the barriers like hurdles. Fun times, yeah? But I got my badge and ALL WAS OPEN TO MEEEEEEE.
Met Cloudhammer almost immediately after I got it too, he was waiting in the marketplace line for it to open. Called me up as I was right next to him. We didn't even realize it until we saw each other talking on our phones. Pretty cool to finally see him.
I then found my way to the writers lounge(Quills and Sofas), at the request of Golden Vision, and met up with him, Pav, and fuck all if I know, and traversed our way to the "Equestria, Society, and Technology" panel. Which was about technology and it's impact on pony society.
...Or as Pav called it, "the war of the headcanons".
Proceeded to the Marketplace and it was there I made my first purchase: Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder".
Worth.
Every.
Penny.
Exiting from the seething mass of meat that was the marketplace, I met up with Ruirik, 24th, LoyalLiar, and Web of Hope and went off to get something to eat. Had a ham and cheese sub which was good. And we went back to the market and began my epic quest for...

I know I said I'd provide pictures, but I haven't yet got any and it's awkward to use my iPhone as I have no clue how to get them off. I'll figure it out later, ok? You'll get them. I promise!
Got stopped by amy passerby's asking about the plushie, too. Like, seriously, so many commented on it! I love it!
Moving along, we finally get around to going to the Advance Writers Panel, run by Wanderer D and Applejinx. Guys, just...
Those two, man... Those two are fucking masters. You can not say they don't know what they talk about. All the info was so good... I mean... They had tips for anything you could ask for!
Hell, as we were walking to the restaurant for the dinner, I got to talking to Jinx about how to start writing in the first place which led him to telling me the best piece of advice I've ever gotten:
Don't focus on the perfect start to a chapter of fic. Focus on the perfect ending to that chapter.
...Just... Just wow.
Fucking brilliance. Like, seriously.
Also, on a side note, the restaurant we went to, and Irish grill, was expecting 30 people.
We walked in with 60 people.
Despite all of that, they were fantastic with the getting the food to us. A small hiccup with the checks, but only because we had separate check. Then we had a group photo and I'll post that as soon as I find it.
Now here I am, after meeting Koba and Comrade, in my hotel room playing Secret Shipfic and watching lunatics create the best goddamn shipfic ever. Look for it soon.
Tomorrow: breakfast, DayQuill and OJ to start combating the cold I'm sure to have gotten by now, and more panels. Also the comics. I need to get the comics in TPB form.

I'm so stoked you are having such a good time. I'm sorry I couldn't take you there myself this year. Things with the folks just didn't work out. Have a blast and don't stop having one!

It depresses me to no end that this will, more likely than not, be the only BronyCon to occur on my birthday, and I can't F*cking attend it.

Glad you're having a good time! I love the ship fic card game... It was easily my best purchase at Everfree Northwest. I was lucky enough to be one of their first customers on Friday so I got a special Everfree Northwest 2014 only card which they apparently ran out of really quick. @_@ I've also been getting to play the game with Autumnschild which gives me a happy!
