    Stepping down and stepping out

Hey guys, I just wanted to come back and say I'm stepping down as a mod on Fimfic.

It's been a great ride. I've read a lot of fics and made a lot of friends, but I just don't have time to stick around the site anymore. I don't really want to leave you guys/everyone who keeps pming me to do mod stuff hanging, so I figured I'd make it official and step off.

    Jinglemas stuff

Hey guys, so a lot of people have been asking me lately if they could get permission to publish the fics they wrote for last year's Secret Santa compilation. I've been really busy this Jinglemas season so I haven't had a lot of time to handle it, but the upshot of everything is that I revoked the fic, so there should be no huge issue if you want to publish the fic you wrote for your secret santa

Guardians of the Galaxy is the best movie in the history of human accomplishment.

Nothing I do will ever begin to compare to it.

Seriously, go watch it.

Wait, is it out now? I thought it came out on the 3rd!

I watched Sharknado 2 tonight instead.

I don't regret it.

Nope, it dropped tonight. And was amazing.

2333692
Oh god oh god oh god oh god- I don't have time to see it till Saturday! My life is OVER!

Watching it in about an hour! Stoked.

2333687
No, comes out on the 31st. as in Today. Next week is Ninja turtles and after that, the sub par movies of fall start.

2333704
:rainbowhuh: I feel uneducated. What does that emot mean?

2333692
It has Rocket Raccoon. How can it not be amazing?

OTP = Rocket x Squirrel Girl. Crossing fingers for a Great Lakes Avengers movie.

2333709
tears of neverending despair, and a deep sense of loathing at the world in general.

Sweeeeet.
But I can't see it yet. Bronycon.
So terribly sad, I know.

2333727
aah, now I can stop feeling like a fool and understand people more. :derpytongue2:

Thanks.

The New York Post raves:

Guardians of the Galaxy brings to mind some of the most unforgettable sci-fi event movies of the last 30 years. Alas, those films are “Howard the Duck” and “Green Lantern.”

2333709
It's a '_' face with tears falling from the eyes.

2333748

The New York Post is impossibly wrong.

Rocket Raccoon FTW :rainbowdetermined2:

2333803
I hope so; I'm surely going to end up seeing it at some point.

I agree. It is fantastic, and it is worth seeing for everyone.

I just rewatched the end of Gurren Lagann and an hour and a half of Super Best Friends Zaibatsu play Wonderful 101. Should I wait for my hype meter to go down, or ride the wave?

Good to hear that! I'll be seeing it tonight, so I'll find out if you are telling the truth or simply luring innocent movie-goers to their doom.

2333726
Rocket Raccoon already has a girlfriend. She's an otter.

Aww.... Obsie... *pats*

Huh, the reviewer at That Guy With Glasses seemed to like it a great deal, too. Well, two glowing reviews seems like enough confirmation I should go see it.

Have you and the moderators looked into the thing?

Saw it last night. So good. So, so good. So, so, so good.

And I certainly wasn't expecting to see that character after the end credits :rainbowlaugh:

Saw it last night. Worth it!

I'm glad that the sense of humor displayed in the trailers wasn't a trick to get us in there. The humor made me chuckle throughout and it shows that Marvel doesn't have a stick up it's butt (it's a metaphor :facehoof:) when it comes to its properties. The movie makers know when to have fun.

And the advertisement banner as I read this post is for the movie :rainbowlaugh:

I'm likely going to wait for it to come out as a BlueRay before watching it, though. Besides the fact I have a 3D TV with a good sound system, I only watch such movies at launch if I can go with friends, otherwise I really hate going to the movies; I feel really uncomfortable in the middle of a crowd, enough to not enjoy a movie when going alone, and my friends already saw it.

Maybe I'll see it..... welp, back to writing, TALLY-HO!

Crap. Now I have to go see it. :ajbemused: You make the second person I know that has good opinions and has suggested I see it.

Author Interviewer

That reminds me, I need to look up movie times for Sunday. :O

2333748 Yea, our local reviewer is very harsh and pretty much hates action movies. He gave it 3 1/2 stars or of 4. It was also a overall positive review. He can be wrong about how bad a movie is, but if he thinks it's good, it has to be good.

If you like action, packed with the few hints of,
"Oh my glob I'm gonna cry my eyes out!"
And a lot of laughter, then this movie definitely is for you.
The beginning of the movie near made me cry... I'm gonna go and think about really complicated stuff now. Since I tend to be doing that a lot today. I blew my friend's mind with something I said, rendering her literally speechless. Huzzah!

Well of course. It's New York Post.

Anyway - who's first to write the Guardians of Equestria, with a [strike]crazy gang of disruptive hooligans[/strike] lovable bunch of misfit ponies being shanghaied to save the world?

Watched it last night. Damn that's some good shit. Rocket Raccoon's alcohol-fuelled rant at the club is possibly go into history as the most character-defining moment for a CGI character ever. When you can genuinely sympathise with a synthetic, CGI'd psycho, something is either very very right, or very very wrong.

I saw it in Imax on Thursday, and you're right... it was nothing short of amazing! I hope to see it again this coming weekend.

Nothing I do will ever begin to compare to it.

Just rewrite the whole story with ponies. Then just submit it and politely ask a story approver to approve it (or you'll kill their family). Bingo. :pinkiehappy:
