Hello readers one and all!
Well, it's been six months of loving and hard work, but I've finally finished A Journey Unthought Of: A man's life in Equestria.
Now before conclusions are jumped to and everyone mans the lifeboats to escape in panic, I'd like to point out that while I have finished this story, the uploading will continue for a long while after tomorrow's dump. In order to give you an idea of scope, the completed story is 87 chapters long along with an epilogue tying up the end. What begins now is the completion of editing the story in its entirety, along with tying up other loose threads I might have missed along the way.
So, what happens now?
Well, once the story is fully published, I will begin publishing some spotlights stories which will feature one particular character over all the others, as it documents their struggles and experiences on their way to becoming the characters we see in the main story arc. The characters I have excluded from this spotlight format are the main six ponies, because we already know about their struggles from the cartoons, the Doctor, mainly because look at the last near fifty years B.B.C. has been fleshing out his character, and Adam, because the overarching story is already his story arc, making a spotlight seems rather redundant.
Here are a list of the characters I plan to write spotlights for:
Princess Luna
Nightmare Moon
Princess Celestia
Bunsen Burner
Ditzy Doo/Derpy Hooves
Lyra Heartstrings
Bon Bon
and at the moment an overlooked character.
These spotlights are going to be my attempt to worldbuild a little bit for Equestria
And then what?
Well, I have been throwing around ideas for a sequel in my head. However, if Hollywood has taught us anything about the pandemic know as 'sequelitis', some things are best left alone. That said, I believe I have an idea for a plot that is even more original than the plot for AJUO was, but I have made AJUO self-contained, meaning those who prefer the original story can treat it as a singular work with no ties to any other fiction. I will obviously start writing this sequel after I finish the spotlights. Before I start on the spotlights, though, I'm going to take a mental break from writing for a while, and simply edit the current story and let it run its course. I hope you enjoy the story as much as I did in writing it down! Read on and enjoy life!
