Howdy, folks! Long time, no blog. Well, don't worry, I have one coming up concerning Bronycon, which I will totally be at and you should come say hi.
For now, though, I have to tell you about my dear friend Dusk Quill.]I have ranted about him before, but never here, so allow me to do so now. DQ is, without a doubt, the single most criminally underrated author on this site. His stories are fun, exciting, and packed with the kind of action that would make Stallone crap his Depends. I did a review of The Griffon Wars over on FOB Equestria before, which was the start of the Skyfall saga.
Skyfall is a series of tales about an Equestrian Special Forces unit. After said war, Princess Luna realized that the Royal Guard needed a more effective, pointed, and possibly covert method of eliminating Equestria's enemies before this sort of tragedy happened again. The series follows Captain Fleethoof and his team of elite soldiers as they defend Equestria from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. These stories are incredibly fun to read, and to me they define "Edge of your seat" for this site. For real, Dusk Quill is the Tom Clancy of Pone.
I mention this now because the next entry in the Skyfall saga is now out, and I promise you, this one is gonna be good. I pre-read for DQ, so I have read the first few chapters. A Princess is missing, friendships are being tested, and a new, yet old threat is rising, one that has in mind a horrible fate for Equestria. Trust me, this is gonna be one hell of a ride.
I implore you to go check it out. Seriously, I am tired of the Feature box being full of shit. This here is a story that deserves to be Featured, and Dusk is an author who deserves a hell of a lot more attention than he gets. Please, go read it.

How could I have forgotten today was the premiere of Skyfall: Retribution!? Dusk Quill had a trailer last week. I've been waiting for this for months! I wouldn't have ever read The Griffon War or the other Skyfall stories if it wasn't for you Staff Sergeant Jake. So, thanks for that.

I will read these stories. Partly because they do seem interesting. Partly because you have done so well in spreading good word for Dusk Quill that I am at the point where I have to check the story out or crucify you upside-down.

He works his pony tale off and produces some awesome stuff! For what it's worth I too, Random Internet Person 98748, endorse Dusk Quill whole heartily. Been loving his work for a while, and he keeps getting better and better.
