When Skype died from the burning cancer of irrelevancy I lost contact with her and didn't know how to find her... and then Twitter Dot Com randomly decided that it would recommend a cosplay of hers to me, so we got to talk again after like 4 years of not even knowing how to contact each other.

I spent 25 hours on A Hat in Time this past week and I don't regret it. Anyone who ever liked Mario Sunshine or any other Gamecube era platformer should pick this up on Steam/XBOX1/PS4. God this game was so good.

And I've been stuck for nearly two years now
She was okay for the most part, but with the recent events that came up involving her, it made me raise question about her views. Not saying I'm happy to see her gone, but I'm not shedding any tears.
But, if you're "just about done" yourself, then review what aspects of the time on this site you like, dislike, overall if you even like writing anymore, etc, and see if staying on this site, or the fandom in general, is what you want. Personally, because I don't get involved in a lot of "drama" I can easily stay here. I have my own little fun corner on fimfiction and I enjoy it. I don't see any reason why someone has to get up and leave just because their friend/favourite author left. Authors come and go with fanfics that may or may not surpass the standard that is "well done fiction" on this site, and authors come and go who are legitimately likable at all.
What I'm trying to say is just don't get up and go. At least think about it a little before making the ultimate choice. If you've been thinking about it for a while, then, I don't blame you for leaving.
