Rated's Fanfic Adoption Agency Garage Sale · 2:18am Jul 17th, 2014

Greetings my fellow bronies from around the world. Once again, we have another Adoption Agency for you all to enjoy, but this one is a bit different. I've done a lot of these adoption blogs before and while I do link the past ones with each new one, I do get the feeling others don't bother doing that and the old ideas get tossed aside. As such, I've decided to create a "garage sale" of sorts by listing the one that haven't been adopted yet from previous blogs that I think are the best of the bunch.

If this is your first time reading my blog and/or Adoption post allow me to quickly explain. I have tons of ideas I get for MLP fanfiction, I can't just write them like I'm high on NZT-48 so I put them out for people to take and work on their own. A few adoptions have happened, none published at the time of this blog, but there is nothing wrong with taking an idea from somebody and giving your own twist on it, provided you acknowledge the idea came from somewhere else.

Now enjoy these 12... old ideas from previous adoption blogs

1. "The Doctor’s Daughter"

Idea Premise: “Derpy had adventures with the Doctor and ended up marrying him, however due to a cosmic disturbance he left her to deal with it and never game back, most assuming he was dead except for Derpy. Before he left, Derpy had Dinky, who is half-time lord and wants to know more about her father but never is told anything about him other than he is amazing. Cut to her at an older age, add in an alien invasion, and the TARDIS returning with a message from her father, and you have Dinky ready to take her father’s place as the defender of time and space.”

-While some fics have explored the possibilityof Dinky being The Doctor’s actual or adopted daughter, most don’t solely focus on her. This is a story that has Dinky, with her personality and Time Lord abilities, travel around Time and Space looking for her lost father while battling all his old enemies, making new ones, and going on adventures with her own companions.

2. "The Great and Powerful Guardian Angel" (Adopted by Regidar)

Idea Premise: “Trixie, having been freed from the Alicorn Amulet, struggles to find work with her magic act while trying to be “good” natured. Things take a bad turn for her as she loses her life, saving a colt who was about to be run over by a loose carriage. An angel of death tells her that while she wasn’t good, she wasn’t bad either and is sent to purgatory to work for her heaven, eventually taking a job as a guardian angel/ With her new angel friends, Trixie goes around the world helping those with problems to earn her heaven.”

-While the start of it is like Yu-Yu-Hakusho, most of the story is like 100 good deeds for Eddie Mcdowd. Trixie, choosing to be an guardian angel, has to help ponies problems that deal with morality issue such s bullying, smoking, loss of a parent, running away and so forth. It’s more designed to be a learning experience with a heavy emphasis on doing the right thing. It’s also kind of a redemption story for Trixie, while she may have screwed up a lot in her mortal life, she can make it up with her afterlife.

-There would be camo shots of the cast, maybe even some of them needing her help. Twilight Sparkle even acts as Trixie’s “Mortal Contact”, a living partner who can help her in her missions. If you’re a Trixie fan and you want to see her do good things, try writing this story out.

3. "Background Killers"

Idea Summary: “Vinyl Scratch and Octavia are roommates, best friends, and popular musicians in their respective fields. However, there is something that the public doesn't know; they are the top co-assassins for their hitmare agency. However, both ponies receive new secret orders, kill their partner. Instead of doing this, they fake their deaths and start their own assassin agency, hiring various ponies you never would have suspected of being professional killers. Not only do they have to work as a team, but must discover why the agency wanted them both dead in the first place.”

-Pretty much a Mr. and Mrs. Smith deal, except I think it should be more humorous and have a longer plot. There also is a bit more of a story to this. Instead of trying to kill each other and then go after their former bosses, they just fake their deaths and decided to start their own assassin squad, hiring background ponies you never would have suspected of being assassins to join them in not only being the best hired killers in the world, but stopping both their former organization from something sinister.

4. "My Daughter Dinky" (Adopted by Autum Breeze)

Idea Summary: “Prince Blueblood’s perfect life is suddenly put on hold when it’s revealed he has a daughter from a one night stand he had long ago. Her name? Dinky Hooves. Although he wants nothing to do with them, his aunt forces his hoof when she reveals it will go public unless he becomes a good father. Blueblood must spend time and interact with Dinky and Derpy, but how can such a snob be a good father? Maybe a little love is all that’s needed in the end?”
-I’m really surprised nobody else ever thought about doing this. In this story, Blueblood and Derpy had a one night stand (How and why is up to the writer) which resulted in Dinky being born. Derpy, knowing this would ruin Blueblood, decided to do the kind thing and keep the father a secret until it’s revealed by whatever way the writer wants.

-The relationship between Blueblood and Dinky is an obvious one; former doesn’t want to interact with the latter who wants her daddy to love her. It will come rough at first, but eventually the two bond and Blueblood slowly develops into a better pony and becomes a good father that surprises everypony, including himself. He might also start falling in love with Derpy should the writer want to. However, as things between the family get closer and more heartwarming, Blueblood’s noble status starts to wane and he’ll have to decide what’s more important: His new family or his noble title.

5. “The Conversion Bureau: Kindness's Return”

Summary: “My name is Fluttershy. Ten years ago, my home, Equestria, arrived in a world owned by a race known as humans. This race held so much good, and so much evil, yet they were strong in spirit despite all the darkness in their lives. I grew to accept and admire them for who they were, despite their flaws, but others I knew didn’t see what I saw. They only saw a race of monsters that needed to be…saved. They started a chain of bureaus that turned humans into ponies, under the excuse of helping them. But I learned this was a lie, we were changing them, exterminating them slowly by destroying everything that they were.

I, and many others who saw what I saw, tried to reason this to my friends, to my princesses, but they told me that humanity was a lost cause. I didn’t believe that it was our right to force them to change. I didn’t think what we were doing was right. So I stood up for them. I spoke the truth and exposed the lie, making me the most hated pony in Equestia; a traitor.

The world went to war, and humanity won with the aid of those who were of the same mindset like me. Ponies and humans worked together to save humanity from Celestia’s madness. Peace and unity now reigns, magic and technology are one, solving so many of the problems that once plagued humanity. But all is not well in Equestria, now an occupied country in the name of the UN. The royal sisters are dead, moral is broken among my former home, and there is conflict not seen since the days of the three tribes. I have been called away from my new family to help heal the old wounds that linger. What will Equestria think now that I am returning? What will my friends, who I betrayed for the right reasons, think of me? “

-In this story, Fluttershy realizes the manipulations of Celestia and finds humanity to be, while having its own problems, a race with potential and good overall. As one of the famous Elements of Harmony, she gathers her courage when she learns of humanities supposed fate. On world TV she speaks up for humanity, condemns Celestia’a actions, and exposes the truth of the Conversion. After barley making out of Equestria alive, with help from ponies who agree with her, she lives in the human nations which go to war with Equestria. Fluttershy’s status as an Element and her courageous act, encourage other ponies to join humanity and stand for what’s right. After a long war, humanity soon overcome that famous barrier and finds a way to cross over into Equestria as well.

-Equestria falls and the royal sisters are executed for their crimes against humanity. Fluttershy is seen as a hero to humanity and the ponies that support them, but a villain and traitor to the rest Equestria including her friends who blame everything on her. With the threat over, Equestria becomes occupied by the UN much like Japan was after WWII. Magic and technology are combined and with both race working together they are able to help heal most of humanities problems (Hunger, poverty, disease, pollution) proving that humanity and ponies could have worked together in the first place. Plus, thanks to every country united in the war, most of humanity is now at peace with one another.

-Fluttershy is tasked by the UN to help with the occupation and reconstruction of Equestria, and to ease old hatreds. By this time, she has married either a pony or a human and has children. Feeling she has to close old wounds, Fluttershy goes back to Equestria not only to help her people, but also try to make peace with those she left for the right reasons aka the Mane 6. The story switches to both the past where Fluttershy stood up for humanity, and the present which is after the downfall of Equestria. How that proceeds is all up to the writer. This is the set-up; the rest is up to them.

6. “Vengeance Even In Death”

Summary: “Poor Spike…

Your friend Twilight just had to ask why the tree had both your princesses’ cutie marks on it. And now they are all dead, killed by the two whom you trusted the most, their bodies and yours now buried and forgotten. All the while, the world believes in a lie that you all sacrificed yourself for the good of Equestria. I can feel your hatred emanating even now, in my void.

You are wondering why you are not in the next life, but that is because you are not fully dead. The princesses’ underestimated the resistance of magic for a dragon, even for a tiny one such as you. This has caused me to become interested in you, baby dragon. I am the Outsider, the only one preventing you from dying, and I can grant you your revenge on those who actually believe they are gods.

All you have to do is amuse me.”

-A Dishonored crossover, Twilight asks Celestia and Luna during the fourth season opening why their cutie marks are on the tree, leading to both princesses to killing Twilight, her friends, and Spike. But Spike, thought dead, barley survives and gets the interest of everybody’s strange and mysterious god, The Outsider, who keeps him alive. He allows Spike to train in his mind, his body growing all the same in his grave, and gives him his mark which gives him the powers Corvo had in the game, but also other ones if the writer wants. But just because he has these powers and training doesn’t mean it’s gonna be easy. After all, it’s one dragon against tens of thousands who are loyal to Celestia and Luna, who are powerful in of themselves. So no God Spike or anything.

-Spike awakens at age 17, and determined to find out why Celesta and Luna killed Twilight and his friends and get his revenge. But the Equestria he is in is different than before, how different is up to the writer. There can be a rebellion, there can be civil war, the Everfree forest could be returned and more.
-Another idea the writer can do is give readers choices to affect the story’s progression and the ending.

7. “Downfall: The Final Ten Days of Equestria”

Summary: “It’s over and everypony knows it. The Conversion plan has failed, the barrier destroyed, humanities armies only a few miles away from Canterlot. So many have died. So many have surrendered. There is no hope but to surrender or die. These are the final ten days of the Equestrian Kingdom, invaders of Earth, before the end comes.”

-Before anybody asks, no I’m not saying that Equestria should be Nazi’s like in the Downfall movie (which I do recommend seeing), rather it’s the same atmosphere. The idea that a once powerful nation is on its last legs and there is no hope for its survival. It’s the end of Equestria, humanity will win.

-Set in the Conversion Universe, of course, where after a long bloody war due to events based on what the writer makes, humanities united forces are now laying siege to Canterlot which is protected only by strong, but fading magical shield. The only “known” character that must be alive no matter what is Celestia, anybody else is up to the writer. It’s about showing the hopelessness of Canterlot and its people as the doom falls before them and they are forced to surrender to humanity (how humanity treats them is up to the writer again).

-The emotions ranged to sorrow at the amount of losses that have happened, despair that Equestria’s kingdom will come to an end at humanity, anger that either ponies joined with humanity or that they lost the war, guilt and doubt that maybe they are the ones in the wrong and this is punishment, and worry about the future of the pony species on this planet.

-All fates of the characters are up to the reader, but I suggest having a few deaths.

8. Title: “Surrender or Death” (Adopted by dessieh)

Summery Idea: “Twilight Sparkle has done it. After ten long years of fighting, she has taken over Equestria as its new princess. While there is much to heal, much to change, and much to do in order to bring about the new Equestria she has envisioned for so long, she must deal with the hardest thing she has ever done. Judging the friends and loved ones she had to fight. Will they submit to her, help her crate the new world for all beings? Or will they take the hangman’s noose?”

-In this story, Twilight has overthrown the current government of Equestria in an effort to create a new one. This can be a revolution, a grab for power, good or bad, up to the writer. What the main story is about is that each chapter is Twilight bringing forth somepony close to her who stood against her in her rebellion. She asks them to submit to her rule or to die since they fought against her and her allies demand their deaths.

-This includes: Her friends, her brother, her sister in law, and the princesses. If you want to add other characters like Spike or Flash or Trixie or whoever be my guest. Each chapter is Twilight talking to the character, trying to convince them to submit to the new law and order she will create or else she has no choice but to hang them. It’s up to you what each character’s fate is. The last two chapters are the execution of those who refused followed by a short epilogue of 100 years in the future to show what the world Twilight created has become. Either a paradise, a tyranny, a disaster, a good outcome, or something in between. Up to you.

9. Title: “Neither human, nor devil. All bends to my will.”

Summary Idea: "The Demi-Fiend has lived a long life. He has survived the Conception. Defeated the forces of both Order and Chaos. And has even overcome the trials of death itself. After so long, he has finally found peace in a world untouched by the godlike forces that wage war. Although feared and hated by most, there are those that see him as true friend and bring joy to his sorrowful heart. However, the forces of Chaos and Order have found interest in this world and seek to control it for their own needs. The Demi-Fiend will not let that happen. Not to this world."

-You have to be a Shin Megami Tensei fan to know of this stuff. In this crossover, the Demi-Fiend chooses the True Freedom ending, but was cursed with immortality. Because of this, he is an enemy to both the forces of Order, who seem him as a threat, and the forces of Chaos, who he rejected after collecting all of the Candelabrum and refused to become a demon, that wish to destroy him in revenge. Since then, he has wander through countless worlds, fighting both sides and sometimes fighting on their side depending. Now he just wants to relax and be free.

-The Demi-Fiend may seem like a Gary Sue, but if you play the game you’ll know why he’s so powerful. He’s pretty much able to kill Gods so he can go toe to toe with Celestia and Luna and even win if he wishes. Most characters will fear or hate him because of his power but a select few will see that he’s a lost soul trying to find meaning in his life that has consisted of nothing but fighting and death for eons.

-Chaos and Order will both seek to take over Equestria for their own reasons and Demi-Fiend has to fight both of them at the same time, a task even difficult for him. It’s not helped when Celestia chooses to side with Order while Luna sides with Chaos.

10. Title: “Accidental Soul Mates” (Adopted by Autum Breeze)

Idea: Summary: “Everypony has a soul mate, one they are destined to live with and love for all their days. They give their body, heart, and soul to each other. Rarely do soul mates ever change, but occasionally there is the twist of fate that happens.

During their escape from the crystal caverns, a lose rock manages to almost impale Twilight before Cadence pushes her out of the way and takes the blow. Seeing her foal sitter dying, Twilight uses all her magic to save Princess Cadence with a very dangerous spell. It is not without a consequence as she, unknowingly, gives her own life energy to Cadence, tearing up the soul bond between her brother and her foal sitter. Instead, it makes a new one: one between the two of them.

With Shining Armor’s own bond broken it attaches itself to the closest being it can: Queen Chrysalis. “

-The AU focuses on two parings: CadencexTwilight and Shining ArmorxChrysalis. In order to save her dying friend, Twilight uses her own life energy to help Cadence, creating a new soul link between them thus making them soul mates. Shining’s also reattaches itself, this time to Chrysalis. Because of this, the two new groups are bonded and the old one is gone.

-After the changelings are banished, Queen Chrysalis is the one who remains behind and is sent to the dungeons to await sentencing. Shining Armor and Cadence try to redo their wedding, but at the “I’do” part, neither can say it. They can help but feel that their love is gone and after Celestia analysis them, tells them the sad news. They are no longer soul mates, but have new ones now. Twilight, realizing what she has done, runs away in tears and shame while Cadence comforts her. Shining Armor goes to rip a new one into Chrysalis, blaming her for everything, but finds pity in his heart when she hears her scream and cry upon feeling each of her people’s suffering and deaths.

-With no way to fix what has happened, the wedding is called off. Twilight goes back to Ponyville with Cadence accompanying her, wanting to know how Twilight has changed over the years. Chrysalis is summoned to explain her actions and says she did it to save her people from starving. She bows to the princesses and says she’ll take any punishment as long as they spare her subjects since it was all her fault. Celestia agrees. Since no ponies were killed, Chrysalis will give up her royal title and be jailed until she has served her sentence, Shining Armor volunteering to guard her personally, while she and Luna take care of the changelings.

-From there, the two parting start to grow and develop and grow in romance. And yes, it can have clop.

11. Title “Return of the Fallen Student”

Idea Summary: “Sunset Shimmer has a good life. She’s a straight A student at Canterlot High, has five good friends, and an adopted family that loves her. But the truth is she’s hiding a secret of her past. A secret that she never thought she would have to reveal until a talking dog, familiar to her, appears and tells her horrible news. She is needed back in Canterlot after all these years to save Equestria from a great evil that has taken over it as a tyrant.

The Elements of Harmony are dead, and the remaining alicorn princesses, now powerless, are leading a resistance against her.

But that’s not the worst part. The one who is doing all this, the one who has ruled Equestria with an iron hoof, is the one that nopony expected it to be. Sunset’s oldest friend, the one she left in jealously, the one that Celestia, her mentor, praised and loved like a daughter.

Twilight Sparkle.”

-In this AU, Sunset Shimmer didn’t leave Celestia’s side and actually stayed when Twilight joined as a fellow apprentice. The two got along pretty well until it was clear that Twilight was the more talented magic user and Celestia’s main focus. After a fight with her mentor, Sunset Shimmer runs away into the mirror world where she finds herself lost and confused. She’s later adopted by a family and goes to normal school where she makes friends with the human Mane 5, eventually forgetting her old life for this one.

-That is until Spike comes thought he mirror world and tells Sunset Shimmer the horrible news. After she left, history proceeded as normal (Except for Equestria Girls Movie), until the battle of Tirek. When Twilight was given the powers of all three other alicorns, she became mad with power and was corrupted by it. She managed to destroy Tirac (and Discord despite Fluttershy's pleas) on her own, but refused to give her new powers back, deciding to rule Equestria on her own so that no other threats could harm it, seeing this as her destiny. Without their powers, Celestia, Luna, and Cadence were forced to go into hiding as Twilight began to slowly conquer all of Equestria and, eventually, the world. Her five friends tried to stop her, try to make her see reason, but she saw them as traitors and executed them before scattering the elements across the world.

-Sunset, seeing her mentor needing help, decides to head back to her old home, telling her friends the truth of who she is. Not wanting to let her face this alone, they follow her, taking on the pony forms of their deceased pony counterparts. Leading the resistance is Celestia, Luna, and Cadence while Spike and Shining Armor are their top fighters. Everypony is shocked by the five mane reappearing again, and Celestia sees a chance to save Equestria by having Sunset and her friends find the six lost elements and use them to stop Twilight.

12. “Two Wrongs Never Make A Right”

Idea Summary: “While visiting Babs Seed in Manehatten’s hospital, The mane cast minus Twilight, meet up with Trixie in a surprise encounter. Trixie begs them to move aside so she can go, but they refuse, angry at the way she treated them with the alicorn amulet. They rip on her, push her around, insult her and make her cry for over ten minutes. By the time they let her go, she is a mess yet still rushes forward.

It’s only hours later that they learn, from an angry Twilight, what they have done.

Trixie’s mother was dying. And she was two minutes too late from saying goodbye.”

- Kind of a “What have we done” story. The girls, angry at Trixie for what she had done to them, and getting Scott free thanks to Twilight, pretty much emotionally abuse her in retaliation for all she’s done to them since they met. All the while Trixie pleads with them to move, begs, and admits every insult if they can just let her go. Because of their actions, Trixie was unable to be with her mother in her final moments before she died.

- Naturally, all the five (six if Spike is one of them) feel guilty for what they’ve done; Twilight even saying to them that she doesn’t want to speak to them for some time so they can think on their actions. It’s about how getting revenge and grudges never make you feel good in the end, because two wrongs never make a right.

If you want to adopt any of these fics, please message me or if you have questions just ask.

Huh. I notice some repeats, one I tried to adopt. Well, I'm sorry I can't contribute today, but I adventually will.

2292791
Which one did you try to adopt again?

I like the idea of #4 and I had a idea a few months ago that combined #8 and #11.

2292796 Rise of a Fallen Student, if you remembered.

I sort of wrote the first one already.

http://www.fimfiction.net/story/99056/dinky-and-doctor

I mean not exactly by any means, but it's first-pony perspective with Dinky, and while both the time lord thing and The Doctor being her sire aren't stated directly for a while it's hinted really early on. However as the title suggests it's both of them so it's mostly her adventures with the doctor, but her sister and mother are important too. You were looking for something even less connected I think, but it's still very much Dinky as main character and The Doctor an important second.
