I’ll keep this short:
I’ve been an asshole to people on fimfiction and I’m sorry.
I started writing because I enjoyed it. I don’t take criticism or insults well and as my follower count increased, I received more of it. Since it was easier to deflect and avoid it by being a bigger asshole, I dug my reputation into a nice sized hole.
I know it’s wrong to treat others that way, and I’m sorry for that. From now on if I don’t have anything nice to say I won’t say anything at all. In other news, I may be replying less often to comments.
While I was away from the site single-handedly overthrowing the government of Somalia (spoilers: the new boss is the same as the old boss) I did some writing. Per the previous paragraphs I do enjoy the writing, it’s the human interaction I’m not great at. Here’s the list of things that are updating tonight:

A couple others are half finished. It turns out, with less time wasted barking at cars I had much more time to write.
And here is a story you probably haven’t read, but you should have. I’m not just saying that because it features a baby dragon, a clueless pony, and is written by two close friends. Nope. The old Kaidan would sell out, but the new one has Honor, Courage, and Commitment™.
Well, so far I’m glad to be back so I can share the stuff I’ve enjoyed writing the past week. Thanks to Abcron, BronyWriter, Refro, SpaceCowboy, and Parasprite for doing some pre-reading or editing.
Last, a parting joke.
So a masochist, a pyromaniac, a necrophile, a sadist, a pedophile, and a zoophile are all standing in a jail cell.
The zoophile says, "You know what I could really go for right now? Sex with a cat."
The pedophile says, "Even better: Sex with a kitten."
The sadist asks, "How about we beat the kitten up, and THEN have sex with it?"
The necrophile adds, "Alright let's beat a kitten to death, and then have sex with it."
Then the pyromaniac says, "Okay, how about we beat a kitten to death, light it on fire, and then have sex with it?"
After all of this the masochist finally speaks up and says,
"Meow."

Though you don't seem like an asshole. Besides, I know some bigger assholes...

I'm so glad you're back. A lot of what you say behind the insults is worth saying and I can tell from your blog posts and stories that there's somepony worth knowing deep in that box you've built; I'd hate for something like this to drive you away. A journey of self-improvement is not an easy one, but know that some of us have your back and will support you if you stumble.

It's okay, dude. Stuff happens. I'm glad to see you back. I'd hoped with some time off, cooler heads might prevail.
I would like to say, though, that at least, personally, if I call for "moar", it's just a shortcut for me saying: "Dude, I love this fic. This is one of the best things evar. I am glad you've shared this with us, and I hope to see more of it soon." I certainly don't feel "entitled" to it, nor am I attempting to pressure you into doing work you don't want to do. We here receive a free service, the donation of time by authors for our enjoyment, and I respect and appreciate all of the great authors on this site, including you, for doing it.
So thank you for coming back to us and giving it a second chance. For my part, I'll try to do a better job of showing my appreciation. And from you, I look forward to more great things.

I'll be honest Kaidan, I was a bit short sighted and un-followed you after that last blog. I know one follower probably doesn't matter to you, but my thought process was 'why should I follow someone who treats his followers like that?'

Kaidan, we're all assholes at times, we hurt others because we like to think that we are 'holier than thou' at times. Humans are a fucked up species riddled with destruction and harmony at THE EXACT SAME FUCKING TIME SOMEHOW. I don't blame you, but some people do. It helps to say "Ok"to it no matter what it is. xD<3

I rarely ever comment on this website, and that's because I really don't have anything to share. Don't get me wrong, I like almost every story I read. I just feel that commenting doesn't really do much. And the reason you gave in your last post for not wanting to write anymore, I feel was a very good reason. You had every right to not want to write anymore. You are giving your free-time to give readers like us something to read. We as free-readers should never give you hate. The people who do give you hate are ass-hats and if you (those ass-hats) who post hate, get a fucking life. He is doing so much to entertain you, and getting nothing in return, other than the admiration from the people who like his story. And for you people to complain about not getting a new chapter on time, he probably has a good reason for not doing so. So just deal with it and move on. Taking the time to write a comment about why YOU are upset for not getting a new chapter for one of your stories. Find another one to read. Or just do the old-fashion thing and read a real book. I love this site and everything in it. I love this site because people get to have fun making stories and putting it on the internet for every one to read and branch off and make their own spin-offs and what have you. And the best part about this site is all the REALLY good stories that are free to read. It fucking free! You can't really get better than that! And because it's free, the author isn't getting paid, so you have absolutely NO right to complain or write hateful comments. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. When I saw that blog post, I was actually clapping for you Kaidan. The reasons you gave for wanting to give up writing where very good. Yes, I was sad for seeing you go, and at the time, I didn't want you to give up your stories. But at the same time, I was also happy for you. It sounded like it became more of a burden that a pleasure. That was a very mature choice for you make. Regardless if you took it back or not, you will always have my respect.
Nice to have you back. I know your last blog update really pissed a lot of people off but i think your message was the right one even if the wording could have been a lot less accusatory.
